how easy was it to remove the VZ58 feeding lips of the mag ?
and did you use epoxy to bind to the bakelite mag?
Pulling off the CZ mag to was just a matter of drilling out the spot welds and some gentle persuasion. Less of an issue as the holes it leaves make a good anchor point for the binder. Once enough material has been removed for the bakelite to fit just make sure to roughen up enough of a binding surface. I actually etched some slots on the inside of the mag to add surface area for the bind. Its definately more art and experimentation than science I assure you.
In this case I used Devcon Plastic Welder II for the binder as I wasn't sure what the makeup of the bakelite material was and I've had good luck with the Devcon product. If it can hold pieces of a reciever together over thousands of rounds and cleaning then it should be able to handle a mag (albiet I did give it lots of time to reach full cure before putting any spring tension onto it)

And it feeds?
You may have just started a new cottage industry.
That is cool dedication to concept! Where can somebody find a Krink parts kit, btw?
Dont give up! Surely someone else will import them, if not, have Dlask whip you up a custom shortie.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's no way that top cover is going to work on a VZ. It'll be a jam-o-matic. Looks great though, and it's always nice to see people going the extra distance to try new things.
If the old cover is underneath it should, but it looks like a dremel with a cutting disc will need to be used to cut away for bolt handle travel. There is no way those sights line up. Krink handguards go in, not bulge out. However, this is the sweetest thing I've seen all year.
Man... all that work (and expen$e) to convert an already overpriced com-block gun to another com-block gun, both of which probably cost under $100 to manufacture (I have two stock CZ-858s myself, by the way). And this is while brand new AKs sell for $300 in the good'ole US of A down south, sometimes fetching even less than SKSs.
Aren't we just special up here, "eh"?
P.S. Good luck on your project... I hope you succeed. It's just too bad we can't have the real thing, just because some Liberal f*cktard got scared of it in 1995 (while browsing through gun magazines with Wendy Cukier on Parliament Hill!)
Where can you get a full Krink parts kit?
slow down tactical bubba ! The VZ is just fine how it is ! leave it alone!
