This is what we found at the entrance to the field where we hunt this morning. The property owner sure wasn't pleased when we told him either. Some people just have no consideration for others. People that do this need a swift :kickInTheNuts:

Check the mcdees bag for a debit receipt and take to the police to see if they can track down the card and card holder. Then have them fined/jailed under the environmental act as shingles are a hazardous material, as well as mcdees food. People make me sick the disrespect that some people have....
If they cannot/willnot help I am sure the MNR will..

I've tried doing that, but was told that unless you actually saw them dumping the garbage, there was nothing they could do. How true that is, i don't know.

But if you can find an envelope of something with an address on it, it's very satisfying to dump their garbage all over their front lawn.

That load has been dumped from a tipping trailer. Quite likely a local contractor, as it is not the type of trailer the average homeowner would have.

Pretty sleazy way to save $50 dump fee.

a$$holes!! I caught an old geezer dumping some garbage on a back road on my way to town years back. I just drove on by, but went back later in the day and loaded all the crap up in my little old Courier shop truck. A couple of nights later, I went in to town and shoveled it off on to the old fart's lawn.

He had dumped it on a piece of grass between two guys' land, so I told both of them what I had done. They both thought that it was a great idea!:p

we live on the outskirts of Winnipeg and everyday someone dumps along our quiet gravel road...lack or morals and ethics is disturbing, never mind lazy

Our Wilderness Watch guys from the Fish and Game Club actually did this.
They loaded a bunch of garbage in a pickup, with the owners name and address in it. They went to the police and the police escorted them to a mid to upscale house, and watched as they unloaded the garbage on the lawn!
It was a Sunday morning, so many from the neighborhood also watched.

I live 1 mile out of the city limit. This is a normal thing for city trash to dump their trash on county property. At the end of every month, the ditches collect old fridges, mattresses, and garbage piles.

I would definitely search through for an address or some information which will lead you to a name. If the cops won't help, I am certain the MNR will. Take the time necessary to nail the pricks who did this to the wall. That kind of ignorant s**t has to be dealt with or the c**ksucker will just do it again.

I cought a guy doing this last year, old kids toys, a couch, bunch of garbage.. I dug through until I found an address, turns out there was a receipt for a teenage kids clothing store, had the guys phone number on it. Kept digging found more stuff that led me to him, including his address.
I called his answering machine and told him I found a pile of garbage on the road that I know is yours, then read him partial credit card numbers, his address and a few other things. I said that if he came to pick it up that night I wouldn't turn him in. It was all gone by morning.

Is that steel studding. I dont believe in this part of the country that it is allowed in residential housing so that would leave me to believe it was a contractor.

No, it's the metal starter strip. It was definitely dumped with a tip up trailer, judging by the size of the load it was the type that most roofing contractors drag around (roughly 7x12). The sides of the pile were nice and straight, so it was easy to see that it slid right out and onto the ground. I offered the landowner my help in cleaning it up, and also mentioned to look for anything identifying the owner such as reciepts.

I also appreciate the offer from one of the members here to help me clean it up. The landowner said he'd just get the tractor to load it, so I think he's got it under control.

Looks like a roofing job. Part of the blame for this type of being stupid is the municipality for not allowing free dumping at the dump. Free dumping may help to reduce this.
In our local paper there was a story of a couch being dumped and a wallet found behind the pillows. The owner of the wallet told the police that he lost his wallet and the couch was not his? End of story.

This kind of behavior really pisses me off! It looks like there are a couple of drink bottles in that pile. I bet a couple of prints could be lifted off at least one of them. That would give the police a starting point.

They'll confiscate your firearms,m take away your hunting privileges and fine you if you shoot waterfowl with lead (not good for the environment) but they let this crap go unpunished?
