The cfc is now using there powers to extend the prohibit list, the fiasco with the type 97 now means they are not going to allow any more new guns which meet the criteria for visual prohibition. AS in black, pistol grip, semi auto, short, folding stocks. Heres the prohibit list for an idea of what they use as criteria, the prohibit list only includes those firearms that have been listed by name. What the cfc will do is take it apart, take some pictures then they will say it is a variant of a ----------- from the list below and forever it is prohibit. There is no recourse once there decision is made, no second step once they decide its done.

I'd take one for sure! The Ruskies make reliable, although not aesthetically pleasing, firearms.

After the T97 fiasco, good luck getting these into Canada.

Good on you for trying though. Lets just hope they dont get classified ok and then when you order a zillion they dont get confiscated and re-classified.

Yea I know, but it is not like they set some kind of precedence. They have to have some sort of proof to stand up in court. It's not like its some kind of free for all. The worst they can do is take forever and I suspect they are taking so long because they are trying to weasel some kind of deal with the CPC before the LGR is gone but I doubt the CPC will make a deal. So after the bill to scrap the LGR is tabled I suspect that classifications will go smoother. Assuming the CPC doesn't screw us over.

I hope you're right. It's disheartening to see how much money and effort go into removing the freedoms of law-abiding citizens, while medicare and economic growth suffer. I will never completely trust lawyers and polititions, too much "interpretation" , ambiguity, and dishonesty to ever get a straight answer.

What is with you guys?? this isn't made in china or pakistani arms bazaar.....

People gladly fork over 500-700 dollars for US made pistols with known qc issues like it's nothing. How is 400 too much for a russian made sub gun with two magazines and a folding stock? like really 800 is reasonable consider some of the prices of kel-tec and even hi-point have been set at...
