I am looking for a caliber to play "triple duty" on groundhogs, coyote and whitetail deer. I don't care much if it is overkill on groundhogs because I dont use them for anything but I want it to be good for coyote and deer. I was thinking something like the .243 Win would be a good choice, looks like it has bullets from 55gr to 110gr. I dont reload at all so all the ammo will be bought over the counter so please keep that in mind. Am I right with the .243 Win or is there something else better suited for these 3 animals?
