ever have a hunting rifle that was just luckier?

my Lucky Lady has to be my first pre '64 94 30-30, she always brought home the tenderloin, and for some reason, she doesn't go out much anymore, the newer rifles go now, why? who knows! wtf! I guess she quite screaming my name on hunting morning, when I open the safe! Oh well, if I don't (and I usually don't nowadays anymore) one of my boy's will put the meat on the table for us! hey, maybe age, eyes, shakey etc has something to do with it! gosh it sucks s**te to get old! But I still enjoy it big time (live for it) to just be out there in the bush with a rifle in hand! I'd sure love to get a wild bacon & ham on hoof, even just one, before I cash my chips in forever! Wish me luck!

I have Rem 700 in .35 Whelen that has had a lot of animals stand in front of it. I don't understand why but it just has happened. I shot 2 deer, 2 moose and 2 bears the first year I had it. Come to think of it, since I've left that rifle alone in the safe, I really haven't been that successful...

Absolutely I believe in a lucky rifle!
I always got deer when I carried my old 1899 303S featherweight.
I then purchased a new 375BB in a Marlin, carried it over ten yrs before I got frustrated enough & sold it, fortunately during all those hunts I could always grab my old Sav get my deer.
Over the last 15 or so yrs my old tang M-77 Ruger in 280 has been my lucky moose & sometimes deer rifle.

Its my .303, I hate that gun. I think 'this will be the year when it fails me so badly that my wife will let me buy a new gun', then it drops deer like it has a mind of its own.
Its only lucky on deer though, moose it must be the curse.

Yes, not only do I have a lucky rifle, but long ago I considered seven, as the lucky number of cartridges to take with me.
To this day, if I was going for a days hunt, I would have with me seven shells. I know, it's more than needed, but I would put five in the bolt action rifle and one in each of my front pants pockets. That way, there was no loose shells to rattle in my pocket.

My Savage 30-06 is my lucky rifle. For whatever reason when I'm punching paper with it, its an exercise in frustration. But whenever something with four feet and a heartbeat is standing in front of me, the rounds go right where I want them!

Never really had an "unlucky" rifle, jusy some I have had better luck with. My current 7600 Rem in 25-06 has helped me bag four moose, and over 30 deer including three of my best bucks in the last five years.

That would have to be my 7x57, not sure you can call it lucky tho, she looks like a bringback from a conflict. It has taken a Wolf, my first bull elk and best whitetail all in one season, a couple other deer, my wife's first moose and a bull and cow elk last fall.

Challenge is not grabbing it when I go to the safe. When that Antelope tag comes in the 250 should go but what will the 7 say? Is it just me or do they shun you and mutter bad things when you don't take them out of the safe?

Yep, feel it every time I leave the Schultz $ Larsen behind. Bastard rifle pays me back with hide though. I can feel it laughing as I lumber the proceeds of the cut tag back to camp.
This sweetie is blessed as well. Point of impact is always bang on.
No on the other side of this is my Brno 21H. Packed that darn thing and I swear the animals can smell it. No Fuey Suie for that one. I feel bad for it, but not that bad.
