2011 CGN Saskatchewan gopher shoot. Thanks to everyone for coming!

I've been offered a trailer, so firewood will be on the way. Huge thanks to Rotweilerboy ! We've seriously got to get him to come along next year. I tried talking him into it, but he has to go on a family camping trip that's lined up to leave on the Sunday....and he's afraid of his wife ! :D

Oh man....so much to get ready and no time to do it. It will happen though.

I've gotta... grab my gun, out the door to my car. I can be ready to roll to the gopher shoot in 2 mins flat. Sounds like a buddy of mine will let me stay at his place, I suspect it is real close to the campsite. Captain, can you pm me with the directions to this place so I can get a better idea if I am roughing it in camp, or going to buddies place?

Just remember most of the fun is the fools at camp :p

No he doesn't. If we're talking zombie gophers, and Berital and I can speak from experiance, there's only one sure fire way to stop them.

OMG! You really want to let them get close enough to you to be within shotgun range? Give your head a swift kick man! You need something that will send them back to hell from at least 2 or 300 yards! The .204 Ruger fits that bill PERFECTLY! Usually not even enough left to feed the crows. That buckshot is last resort!! Cmon! Everyone knows this!!!!

300 yards is for pussies. I want to see the white of their eyes as I send them back to where they came from. I'm thinking I might even tape a steak knife to the muzzle of my shotgun this year for the ultimate in fuddiness. That's the advantage to having a real barrel instead of a short barrel-like tube. ;)
