SCAR Where Art Thou ?

Well here's my "theory" NO ACCOUNTABILITY
If we arrived at there door step with "torches and pitch forks" we would be in the same position we are now, probably a few members short from the hail of bullets. I don't know why it has taken since 09???
All I know is that at end of the day, nobody from the RCMP is going home and looking for a job the next day.

I really hope these make it into Canada, I've never really cared much about the .223/5.56 caliber though. I try and restrict myself to buying guns that I can use for hunting in addition to the range...

If these do get though it would give me hope that the .308/7.62 versions would follow suite, in which case I'd be all over them. Stick me in the boat with all of you hoping and praying that these get in, even if I haven't thrown down any money on one... Yet...

A limited number did make it into Canada, but we're still waiting on the classification. It's unlikely that we'll see anymore approved for export (that includes the SCAR-H).

This past Saturday, the 19th, marked a year since I sent my deposit?
Who would have known eh?
I was thinking about a "coin" for the first year? and then maybe something else to mark the second?

Ok, I am new to this thread. Let me grasp this: You paid for a rifle, it was delivered to Canada and it is not in the FaRT so you can't take it home? Sounds like the T97 "success" emboldened them.

I only know of one person who has a SCAR in his possession, Blaxsun is on the board here and is a "big time" go to guy for Magpul parts and has excellent customer service!!

We placed a deposit, they were allowed into Canada, we paid for the rifle in full in anticipation of a classification being issued... and have been waiting since last September. I really don't know what the issue is, other than it's taking far too frak'ing long.

Maybe we should start a SCAR "siege" thread, just like the American/Iranian hostage incident way back when, you know we start each day with the post "Day ###" of the RCMP's classification of the SCAR. Keep folks updated etc, etc?

So it would seem... Well, we know where the SCAR art not (in our hands). I'm thinking late Summer/Fall. Certainly nothing until after the election.

Here's the funniest part for me. I remember a while back reading an article titled "SCAR vs ACR". The author chose the ACR over the SCAR because of various reasons such as it didn't have a reciprocating charging handle. Well, we all know the financial success the ACR has been so I I thought "Well, even with all its "faults", I'll still be able to get the SCAR". Well that ain't happening either so the article was just for pure enjoyment.
