What optics do you prefer on your Black Rifle

Got an Eotech on one of my AR's but for some reason still prefer the iron sights........must be an age thing.

I have an ACOG TA01 on my AR with a J-Point 8MOA red dot on top. I really like it. I'm now interested in the Leupold HAMR with red dot Deltapoint. Not sure if it is worth the $1800 price tag though.

I chose ACOG, but only because you can only choose one option. IMO a low power variable scope is on par with them.

I pretty much run Elcans on all my rifles..
I'm up to 4 specter DR optics now.. 3 of the 5.56 1-4X and one of the 7.62 1.5-6X.... After all the eotechs, aimpoints, and few others, I'm pretty much sold on all aspects of the Elcans.

I like it a bit better than the aimpoint, but I think that's down to personal preference.

I will note something that I rarely see brought up...with a 50yd zero on mine, the lowest point on the 65moa circle is a perfect zero at 3 yards. That means that you don't have to mess about with figuring out your height over bore...at conversational distance, just put the low tick mark on your target.

With the quick mount it also works well on my 416 Rigby for when I feel the urge to do the dangerous game thing in Africa rather than shooting paper.
