But somehow I'll don't think I'm going explain how it's done to the OP. He can figure it out for himself.![]()
It is possible to feed a round from the magazine into the chamber of a Baikal MP153 by racking the action.

dear either u dont have a baikal mp 153 or u have totally missed my point..... i try to explain...........look ............. in autoloaders there are 2 types of guns .......1 those which take first shell directly from magazine just like a semi auto pistol an 2 those which require the first round to be manually fed in chamber and than they take rest of the rounds from magazine to cycle. i invite u to fill the magazine of baikal mp 153 than try to chamber the first round by racking the cycle/ racking the bolt ............ it simply wont take the first shell from the magazine directly. . . u hve to put the first shell in its chamber manually................ now the baikal mp 153 is not the only gun with this feature , there are many other high end guns with this feature too, but their users guide never term those guns good for SD or HD as the manual of baikal mp 153 does...... bcoz this feature reduces the capacity of gun to a pure sporting gun only as the spoon feeding or the manual feeding feature of baiakl mp 153 looses the crucial few moment which can be proved fatal in any SD/HD situation and in any such like situation , which do not come after sending a visiting card, the person havinf baikal mp 153 will have to concentrate upon the shell count and to spare a shell to be fed in baikals wide open mouth manually and such diversion of concentration could also bring the adverse results.................. but as a hunting and sporting gun , i found no match to baikal mp 153 in its price range
.................. I will say it again........... OMFG

I've shot a Baikal 153 and as you noted its operation is not much different than several other shotguns including various Benellis and Berettas.dear either u dont have a baikal mp 153 or u have totally missed my point..... i try to explain...........look ............. in autoloaders there are 2 types of guns .......1 those which take first shell directly from magazine just like a semi auto pistol an 2 those which require the first round to be manually fed in chamber and than they take rest of the rounds from magazine to cycle. i invite u to fill the magazine of baikal mp 153 than try to chamber the first round by racking the cycle/ racking the bolt ............ it simply wont take the first shell from the magazine directly. . . u hve to put the first shell in its chamber manually................ now the baikal mp 153 is not the only gun with this feature , there are many other high end guns with this feature too, but their users guide never term those guns good for SD or HD as the manual of baikal mp 153 does...... bcoz this feature reduces the capacity of gun to a pure sporting gun only as the spoon feeding or the manual feeding feature of baiakl mp 153 looses the crucial few moment which can be proved fatal in any SD/HD situation and in any such like situation , which do not come after sending a visiting card, the person having baikal mp 153 will have to concentrate upon the shell count and to spare a shell to be fed in baikals wide open mouth manually and such diversion of concentration could also bring the adverse results. i just wanted the views of nuts on this feature of this awsome gun ................. but as a hunting and sporting gun , i found no match to baikal mp 153 in its price range, and i mostly take my baikal to hunt even i do have 2 other guns too

Did a manual come with your gun? You should read it for a description of how to get a shell from the magazine into the chamber. I would strongly recommend practicing the procedure outlined in the manual with snap caps to ensure safety.
dewdrop... Pull the cocking handle back... That 'ejects' the first round that is in the chamber... Then hit the button on the side of the receiver & that feeds a round from the mag tube onto the elevator in preparation for feeding... Pulling back on & releasing the cocking handle will cycle that round into the chamber... Pulling back the cocking handle will now eject round 2... Repeat for round 3...
Cheers

. thats why i am trying to teach u gyes that try to learn about the guns and this learning would certainly not go in vain , it shall definitely pay off some where in waterfouling or bear hunnting or even in SD or HD situations.... get a baikal first and than tell me ur method is working or not The method jay described works fine. I have a Baikal MP-153, and so did he. Maybe yours is broken or you don't understand what he is saying.

So you are implying that the 2 guys are LYING about owning a $500 gun? Everyone on this thread is conspiring against you?
So it's true, ignorance is bliss.
As least your posts are legible now.
