hi i was shooting a horady 160 ftx lever revolution and thought they were great ! now they have out a 30-30- 140 grain monoflex cartridge new for this year ,try it out.

Have you chronographed them in your Rifle colin?
Has anyone else chrony'd these new load offerings to verify real world performance? I don't remember seeing any videos demonstrating them in actual lever guns yet.
If and when I get another .30-30Win, I will look hard at these premiums to freshen up the venerable cartridge.![]()
The 170 gr. soft pts. or silvertips provide good penetration with expansion, and have for 100 + years, I don't see how that can be improved on with anything new, it's just advertising hype. A heavier flat pt. might be the only way to improve the old 30/30 on game the size of moose.
I like Leverevolution, very happy with the factory load but expensive.
What price are you buying Hornady Leverevolution for your 30/30 at that you call expensive?
I get mine for $20.00/ box. Hell of a lot cheaper than shooting the standard calibres. IMO, the Leverevolution is a much more effective round than the ballistic sliver tip everyone is talking about in this thread. Very cost effevtive round. Just my 2 pennies
I paid $36 a box from Basspro last fall. Where are you getting yours?
