How the hell did this make it into the country?

Although it is nice kit, every time I see that logo I think, "hater"

Larue is a douche, typical arrogant American.

Well I guess I am an arrogant douche, but so are you since Canada is part of North America last time I checked.
I wonder what the black rifle market would be like if no U.S. companies sold to Canada?

If you knew all the BS that Darren, myself and others at KAC have gone through to get One Shot approved SR-25 EM Carbine's you'd understand why Larue and others down here are hesistant when exporting to Canada.

1) the Goal Posts move
2) When the Goal posts dont move someone else decides the Goal Post is not regulation and wants it remeasured, which often leds to #1
3) When everything is cool. You also need to comply with Canada's stupid mag law.
*Which reminds me to pin some SR-25 mags...

Its part of the US agenda to starve the Canadians of suitable guns and ammo. Then when the timing is just right.....
BLAM!!!!! they'll take our Tim Hortons, maple syrup, oil, BACON and hokey players for themselves. And there won't be a beaver damn thing we can do about it.

Fixed it for you...

It took me around three times to get this export permit approved but that was when Larue annouce the OBR. $250 per try and you can do the math.

US won't approve anymore 5.56mm or 7.62mm. They won't even entertain in looking at the permit if 5.56mm or 7.62mm is written on it.

Haha clearly you don't know how he operates. Furthermore, I take great offense to anyone calling me a socialist so you can drop that s**t right now.
This guy gives the cold shoulder to any Canadian asking about his products or exporting. At SHOT he sluffed off any Canadian inquiring at his booth, he's an elitist #### head pure and simple. Your right though, he can sell to whom ever he wants and thats fine but he doesn't have to be a jerk about it.

So the brush I painted him with is pretty accurate.

Hey, I was just "broad-brushing" also - doesn't feel very good, does it??? Apparently you don't know much of the way he operates either...

Don't believe everything that you see on this forum. I personally have no prejudices or dislikes for Americans. In fact I go out of my way to say hi to the visitors from the US when I see them in the campgrounds or at the gas stations. Lots of neat stories and adventures to hear about.

What I said was true so no, you're wrong. The guy and his staff acted like dickheads at shot towards canadians.

I think the point mudgunner is trying to make is that while Larue may be a douche, not all Americans are douches. As the broad brush you paint with the below statement implies.

There are many people and companies that try hard to serve the Canadian market. Kel-Tec and KAC come to mind pretty quick. Would you call the owners/managers of those companies "typical arrogant Americans".

That's the broad brush mudgunner is referring to and I think hes got a point.

Why is Larue so anti-Canadian? Or is it that the company is too "busy" to sell to Canada?

He never use to be that way. In the past he was friendly on the phone. Read his posts on ARFcom these days, hes critical of Canada alot of times.

It would seem he acted that way only to some canadians....

I and the people I was with had no such problems. I wasn't 'sluffed off' and everyone at the booth was more than helpful. There was no 'acting like dickheads' that I experienced.

Funny how that works.

I ddont think he's a douche at all - he's always been a complete gentleman with me...

blake

"Typical arrogant American???". Pretty broad brush don't you think?? I guess you're a typical socialist leaning, government dependent Canadian...

He's a business man and is free to buy and sell to whomever he wants - if he doesn't feel that selling to Canadians because he's already moving everything he turns out is no reason to descend to ad hominem attacks.

It would be pretty cool if folks could act grown up...

No doubt. I am Canadian born and bred but I hate how we can be such smug SOB's sometimes.
