Below are a number of photos from the Fort Mac rendezvous. It is a 6 day rendezvous and lots of fun plus in a beautiful setting. We had round ball silhouette matches for both pistol and rifle, a volley match of teams of four who all fired at once on command and scored by the cumulative hits (if any). Also a rifle trail that winds through the trees, across a creek and out via a muskeg, a separate smoothbore trail and a squirrel trail (.40 cal and under). There were 6 primitive camps and a number of tin teepees for a total number of shooters of around 27 or 28. A pipe band was brought in for us, mid week

Lovely, but where is the camp Catt?

I saw you guys out there the day you were setting up camp, looks like you had a fun time. Nice pics, I was wondering what it was all about.

Nice pictures. Looks like it was a good time. Many bugs around the Muskeg or in the evenings?

There were not all that many, particularly compared to previous times that I have been to this rondy. I think it was a question of dry weather up until the Friday before then rain and fairly cool weather and fairly windy for the next several days that probably delayed the mosquitos hatching. Even on previous rendezvous here, the mosquitos have been present but bearable

The bugs were all burnt alive lol, was a smokey place a few weeks back with all the forest fires, and they are still burning.

So, was the Catt there or not?
Unfortunately my job got very busy at that time, and I could not spend near as much time there as I had anticipated.
However, I did take some time off and ran the shotgun matches for the shoot, and even managed to stick the place up with my 12 bore hammer gun!:D
I was a bit surprised at the turnout this year, the year I first met Mooncoon there were about 75 shooters there, including many well know 'smiths like Eric Martins and Taylor Sapergia, but with the price of fuel these days it is very understandable that many are really trying to conserve, and the trip up here is long.

That being said, it was suggested i pull my Robinson- made 58. cal Sadie off the rack and get at it next year, so have made a commitment to do so!:)
