Norinco CQ, or Questar Branded AR

x4. well said...

That being said, I got my New Norinco M4 today and ran 120 rounds through it. I didn't experience one FTF or FTE or any other stoppages. I know, 120 rounds ain't nothin'. But I'm impressed for the $600 shipped (no tax) I paid for it. I'm very, very very very happy.

Hey, if SHTF, they're going to take your AR15 from you regardless of what you own, so forget about needing a 60,000 round without FTF AR15... There's no point, IMO. in a WORL/SHTF situation, the gov't is gonna take your piece anyway. So, might as well just have a nice shotty or Winchester 94 for those purposes....

Although, I can appreciate a fellow who just "has a thing" about owning a finely machined piece of equipment (for some people it's cars, for some it's watches, for some it's AR15's).

For my purposes, the Norinco AR15 IS AWESOME!!

Where did you find your Norc for $600 shipped with no tax? Off the EE?

Thanks,
Cal.

I would like to know if the Norinco M4 will drop in price once NEA jumps into the Canadian AR market. At $700 retail, the chinese must have a huge profit margin, they could drop it to $400 and still make money.

I own the m-14 and the M-4.
I'd say they will drop a fair amount. Look at a M-14S for 429.00, even 399.00 on Delsins, then look at an M-4. Does the aluminum receiver add to the production costs to make the M-4 over 50% more than the M-14 right now?
Probaly not.

If all you can afford is a norc then don't worry about it.

But looking at the NEA, it's offering quite a bit for the extra $300 over the norc. The monolithic rail and free floating rail puts the norc and the NEA pretty close per dollar; most good rails are gonna set you back $200 + S&H then factor in the cost installation. If the NEA includes a good quality magazine (Pmag for instance) then they're pretty much on par per dollar (The norc magazines aren't very good).

Best thing to do though is wait and see. NEA's got a lot to prove with this AR15. If they' manage to pull it off well then all the importers of American made AR15s are going to have some VERY stiff competition.

My Norinco at the range today. 10 shots at 100 yards. A couple one holes....
Iron sights. I think this is pretty damn good.

Shooting some shingles. LOL....

Also, I'm yet to experience a FTE or FTF of any kind whatsoever...

Just sayin. If you want a gun that will be fun at the range, and more than adequate for that purpose, go for the Nork. Besides, like I said, you're never gonna use a battle ready M4 to its full potential at the range... Unless the Zombie Apocalypse happens and we go WROL... LOL..

To each their own.

I think the M305's were about $700 when they first came out and have dropped quite a bit in price.
