Budget portable shooting table?

It has to be sturdy and 10,000,000% stable if it's going to be of any value for accurate shooting. That kind of eliminates the cheap folding tables unless there is a way to make them rock solid.

Ignore the question if you like but,

BC Hunting Regulations page 18 #22 states.....

You should also know it’s unlawful:

to discharge, carry or have in possession
a firearm containing live ammunition in
its breech or in its magazine attached to
the firearm, in or on a railway car, motor
vehicle, sleigh, aircraft, bicycle or other
conveyance.

yea i thought it was illeagal to shoot from a truck/car. even to lean a loaded gun on one.

Depends where you are. Some provinces specify it's illegal regardless, some only on crown land, some only specify that it's illegal to hunt from a vehicle. You will need to dig up the provincial laws for your province, plus the hunting regs for same, and any county or RM regs as well. This country has way too many rules. - dan

I see you're from Toronto. You're excused for not being able to comprehend the english language as it is used in our BC hunting regulations.

Hunting has nothing to do with the regulation about the discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle.
It does have a lot to do with the regulation I quoted directly from those regulations

Perhaps before flapping your lips you should know what you're talking about.:stfun00b:

Mostly it is Max. I know we shot off a picnic table in the back of a pickup for years, and never had an issue. Awful lot of folks out there looking to spoil someone's fun though. - dan

Yup, looking to spoil someones fun. I see your not from here either, you opinion doesn't count or matter! Maybe worry about the rules where you live first.

Yes, you're smart enough to figure out what I know by where I'm from, you must be the next Dr Phil for sure.
Please show me how hunting regulations don't apply to hunting but ranges and other areas also .... Also please save your tough internet lingo for your kindergarten pals ,it won't fly around here. More facts less BS, which is what you've done so far(the BS, in case it's not clear to you).

You're right. No one except people who live where you live are reading this thread and showing an interest in a portable truck mounted shooting bench. Flapping one's lips, indeed. - dan

Hmmm, I would like one of these. One that mounts into my truck trailer hitch would be interesting. Just a caution to some of you guys though. It took two years for all the .22LR brass to clear out the bed of my truck after an afternoon of fun at a buddies place. We parked my Dually truck with the tail gate down and used the bed for a prone shooting spot. Lots of fun. The ground was wet so didn't feel like getting soaked while target shooting.

If I lived in Alberta with Gophers. I'd need one of those benches. I'd be out there very weekend. :D

You joined May 2011 and what gives you the right to call anyone a NOOB.

Target shooting has nothing to do with hunting regs.

The STFU part of the smilie was the important part!

Discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle is illegal in BC for any reason.
I see you're also not from BC. Learn BC regs before flappin your lips.
