Hope the beaver remark was a joke. Let's not forget, these guns are made for plinking/knocking over pop cans, etc. I had a friend who had the 1322 and yes, seemed to hit harder. Always wished mine was a .22. Either way, unless the "game" is no bigger than a squirrel, you're probably OK. I'd stress, lots of practice with the ammo you plan on hunting with and again, get a 1399 stock and/or scope on it. The sights are pretty crude.
