CanAm NON-CORROSIVE 7.62x39.....

Yeah that's what I've been told. I'm guessing most of the retailers here operate on a business line of credit though, which increases as revenues come in. It seems like almost anyone with an online shopping cart and some SKS rifles can make it in Canada lately.

The one nice thing about being a firearms retailer though is the fact that your goods don't depreciate like other industries. The ammo that you purchase goes up in value it seems, and your inventory doesn't really have a shelf life. Everything else is accessories, which are usually the highest mark up item, as they should be.

There were even some retailers who were affiliate drop shipping for others. I wonder how that would work for insurance purposes lol

Remember folks...

Price is determined on what the market will bear.

If people will spend 600 bucks for steel cased 7.62x39 then that's what the price will be. If they won't, then it will come down - hopefully to the more fair system of cost + percent to make a living (just not off ONE customer ;) )

Noob question.....is it illegal to bring American ammo across the border? does quantity matter? {small amount vs crates}

Yes you can. The problem is the officers treats you like you are a terriost. I am not kidding. The moment you told them you brought some firearm related items, they will search your car.

It has happened to me 3 times already so get ready for that.

I had no choice but to support local dealers :HR:

Legal to import as far as Canada is concerned but illegal to export as far as the Americans are concerned.

You can declare it to the CBSA without issue but if the Americans catch you in an exit check you will get smacked.

Remember also that the Yanks will keep an eye out for Canadian plates at gun shows and stores near the border. I wouldn't chance it.

It's not like few years ago US is the only place for cheap NC ammo. Now Canadian dealer sells bulk non-corrosive M43 for 219$ free shipping. No point to risk it.

It all depends who you get.

One time I had a guard find out I'm going to Texas and said have fun and didn't ask me any questions, which was completely unprofessional, but I wasn't complaining.

I purchased a scope and declared it exiting the U.S...Customs asked me how much....I told him. "any firearms?" Nope. i said. "any other firearms related items?" Nope. i said. "have a nice day" he says.
I was going to go back for ammo as it's a little cheaper there, but not so much cheaper that it's worth a hassle. I guess it's a NAY NAY.....thanks guys, you've saved me some time and embarassment:D
