I'm truly sorry to disappoint you all but the shipping has been delayed and the new date for departure from the factory is set to August 22. For those who prepaid we will try to include a little bonus to compensate for the wait.

In real life, things rarely go exactly as scheduled. Wait is not a problem at all, thanks for keeping us posted.

Thanks for bringing them in.....better late then never:). I'd buy one myself, but I have one with the original (prohib) barrel length.

I'm sure you've probably thought of this already, but 22lr conversion kits sometimes surface (and can be found in the US). Do any of your sources currently produce them?

Bummer on the wait - I was starting to really look forward to a near-term delivery. Oh well - so long as they are still coming, I don't regret pre-paying ;)

I haven't looked at .22LR option availability yet. Will try to find out...

No problem, that is the way of the world in firearms. Thanks for the heads up on the situation. How long for shipping once they are out of the factory?

I can take spare mags and/or ammo as compensation. :D

I guess I'll have to think positively. Gun should get here when I get back home at least.

LOL I like your attitude :D

these guns better be here soon because my wife has planned my vacation too  and if they are not here on time and vacation screwed, wife will shoot me.
but no worries please, I put in my will that Makarovs are going to all nice people on CGN ;)

Found the source, but not sure how and if it will work. The conversion kit barrel is 107mm long. It goes inside of the original barrel from the back and secured with nut on the front. Since our Makarov barrels are 106mm., the 22 insert seems to be too short to screw the nut...Will discuss this with manufacturer. If 22 tube has to be longer (around 117mm.) to work on our pistols wouldn't it make the pistol completely ugly? Thoughts?

yes it probably would, but we could fire cheap .22 whit it so it does not really matter. The gun itself whit out the kit will look good, that will be good enaugh for me.

For inexpensive 22 practice, it wouldn't matter much to me personally what the appearance is, as I would most likely have the kit removed when not in use anyway.

I wonder if it is at all practical to have the 22 tube long enough for your makarov pistols, but with extended threading so that those of us who own the Maks with original barrel length can still use them? Thereby allowing use in both barrel lengths merely by tightening or loosening the nut to fit whatever length one has. Those of us with the shorter barrels can always take off the excess if we're that worried about cosmentics, (although I'm not sure of any legality issues there).
