NEA-15 First Official Picture Release

The one very innovative thing that nobody seems to have noticed is how the forend rail interfaces with the upper receiver to ensure both rails are aligned.

Having spent some time building AR's I can tell you that getting those two rails perfectly aligned is a serious PIA. Good on ya' NEA for working out a better solution. I am impressed.

Yeah it`s a Troy innovation :D

That's not the case. There's lots of ways of getting free or very cheap marketing help.

1) Craigslist everywhere has a lot of underemployed or underexperienced marketing people just looking for a shot. Many of them will do it on spec, or dirt cheap.

2) If you don't care about keeping your money in Canada, resources like eLance allow you to outsource marketing to anywhere in the world for a fraction of the price, often to extremely experienced companies.

No one said anyone sucked, we're providing constructive criticism because we like the company and are interested in the product. It's a free focus group and no one here has been anything but polite. Also, how is it the responsibility of anyone here to volunteer time to a for profit company?

Though now that you've got me thinking about it (I run a film/media production services company - though on the other side of the country), yes, I'd probably volunteer resources to help them out.

As long as we're all happy to support Canadian firearms companies...

Tone, apparently, is optional for modern marketing folk.

But... I am an old guy.

Hey North East Arms...

When I get the cash I'll get one in the basic model with maybe a few tweeks to suit personal preference. I suspect they'll meet the criteria I have set for my rifles....

THEY WORK

Guys really???
All you should be saying is thank you

Why, are they a charity? Are they a "non-profit", sending proceeds from sales to starving African children or funding cancer research? I'm pretty sure they're in it for profit. Any critical comment to them gets responded to poorly by these guys, and quite frankly, their marketing sucks......I really hope their Aerospace manufacturing company has better marketing folk.

If your going to build it, stop talking about it, and get in the shop. Don't tell us for months about what your doing, and how great your foreign orders are....cause most don't give a s**t.....the truth is in the final product.

Yes, I am a ####. If the product is decent, I will likely buy it, but I sure as hell don't owe anyone a "thank you" for accepting money from me.

These questions have probably been answered somewhere else but;

I was looking at your catalog, when do the barrels and other miscellaneous accessories hit dealers shelves? I think you had mentioned that a 300Blk barrel and/or upper was in the works? If so, any idea when it will be available?

Any more info on your "ARC" barrel lining/coating? It sounds interesting. Is it comparable to chrome lining?

super underwhelmed by the pictures like everyone else, but i also do photography as my side job so im a bit picky

i like the slab side rails, im not going to put anything on the sides anyways so its perfect

We needed to gauge interest before investing several hundred thousand in the project. We have several other projects on the go that we will not announce until they are shipping out.

And that is the kind of statement I like to hear. No fluff, no snarky comebacks, and no flogging of a product that isn't done yet......just fact. Your counterpart could learn something from you.

Dave is Calm, cool and collected compared to me. To be honest, the volume of sales orders we have seen both in Canada and abroad have been over whelming and have pushed everyone to the point of insanity. Not even green tea, the hot tub and COD Black ops (in the hot tub) are able to refocus me. If you were to ask my wife, she would tell you that she is no longer disturbed by me falling a sleep with gun parts on my chest, sitting up at two in the morning, scribbling notes down and going back to sleep with out ever really waking up. So if we have been impatient i apologize for the whole of NEA. Its almost roll out time, its been a long 6 months, but you have to agree that starting a billet AR program from scratch in less then 6 months is slightly impressive considering the end product is $1k.

I promise we will make it up to everyone the first week of Oct with NEA launch parties at several dealers, which will include raffles for a pile of NEA product..... 100% of the proceeds being sent to Wounded Warriors.

Awesome.....enough said on the matter. I'm an AR whore, so I'll give your stuff a try. Might even try one of those billet uppers on a Grendel build. :)

Try 300blackout. I was skeptical until i tried it. Nothing beats a canned 300blk on full auto.

I'll take the can, but I'll pass on the 300blk......already got a .300 Fireball/Whisper

If it involves you assembling rifles in your hot tub by yourself... You're going to need better pictures! :D

FWIW, your responses to the various complaints/criticisms (I've tried to make mine constructive) have, at least to me, not been out of line. What you're doing ain't easy, so big props to you guys. As long as the rifles aren't made out of pressed mashed potatoes, you're going to see my money.
