yeah you need more mags! cou:

Your quote is insulting only because you're belittling how my little girl shoots. I hope you're no ones parent or shooting teacher.

I was only going to purchase the left handed AR if it came from NEA at this time. I think I know who you're talking about, I looked at their stuff early in the spring.

I have gone back to trying to decide if I want one of their stripped lowers to get the stock/pistol grip I want or simply buy the $399 complete lower and live with the stuff I don't want.

Ever tried a brass catcher?

If you buy one of our rifles for your daughter, let me know and I'll give her one of mine.

I never thought of a brass catcher. I've never used one myself.

I'm definetly in for one of your products. I just haven't decided yet if it will be stripped or complete lower :)

I have to have a Canadian made AR!!!

In 23 years with the AR family I have never caught brass coming straight out of the gun. I would bet she is flinching at the recoil and noise more than anything, or quite possibly gas in her face. Get a good set of glasses/goggles that help with that. Maybe a compensator/brake? Would tame the recoil but may add noise/blast to the equasion.
The standard AR is ideal for lefties as there is no need to tilt the gun for IAs and stopages. I would never invest in one that ejected to the left, and think it's a dead horse for a manufacturer to chase.

One thing I must repeat though: MID-LENGTH Carbines!!!:D

I'm browsing with a blackberry so I sont know if its been asked... Will the ciener kits be sympatico?

I thought it may be the recoil as well. Then she fired the Rem 788 without issues. She flinches less, but still does flinch, with the 10/22. Only thing I can think of is the brass flying in front of her face.

+1 As a lefty I have no issues with brass being ejected out the right side of the rifle.

I have used all kinds of different makes and configurations of AR and never had an issue shooting one left handed.

The only time being a lefty is an issue is when shooting suppressed as gas is forced out the ejection port but for most people that won't be an issue.

My guess would be gas. If you use one of the 'gas buster' type charging handles, change it out for a regular one -less gas in face, but it is still present.
