I have a Bushnell 4x12 elite 3200 series scope on my .223 and up until the other day I thought it was pretty good until I looked down through my buddies .223 that holds a much cheaper scope. I was in disbelief, his scope was clearer than mine. I thought WTF, I heard so many good reviews about the elite series and I end up with a scope that isn’t as good as his combo package low end scope....What gives…… I got my scope second hand a few years ago so wanted to test Bushnell’s lifetime warranty. I heard some horror stories so today I was in the GTA and decided to bring my scope over to Bushnell for them to look at it. I told the individual about my experience, he told me hold on as he would get a technician to look at it. He came back a few minutes later with a brand new elite 3200 4x12 for me, no questions ask, no paper work, no nothing just a straight exchange. I heard/read about a few people’s poor experience/dealings with Bushnell but mine was not one of them….. The technician believes it wasn't as clear as it could be because some condensation got in it at one time....Like I said I thought it was pretty good before, now its brand new and really clear, very happy with there service, just wanted to share my experience....Bushnell Rocks…..

On a side note, you would think that this multi million dollar company would have a better customer service waiting area. The waiting room is a dump, ceiling tiles missing; paint peeling off the walls and dirty....Bushnell if you are reading this, clean it up because it looks disgusting and makes you feel dirty... Frank

Would the company with a state of the art modernized waiting room equipped with plasma TV's and coffee that refuses your warranty be a better choice? ;)

Yes, Bushnell has come a long way with product and service through the years.

No but, a few cans of paint and a clean floor to much to ask.... You been there, you see it? I just think its embarrassing for them...

This is good to hear. Sounds like the service they used to give years ago. I would like to hear some stories like this from people who have mailed their items in.

I remember back when I had a Trophy scope go bad on me right before deer season. I explained to the guy I was leaving in two weeks for 10 days of deer hunting. I received a new Elite 3000 in THREE days.

Lets hope these good customer service stories continue.

Twice I used Bushnell warranty, on the one experience they replaced my binos that I dropped on the garage floor. Entirely my fault, but it took them close to six months to replace, and I went through an entire hunting season with no binos. The other time they refused warranty because the product was so old and no longer made, that to me was not cool.

I also had a scope that finally failed after much abuse. Same here, replaced scope no questions. That's pretty damn good as that was the first of many I owned or have owned that ever failed.

This winter Im going to pick up a 6500 2.5-16. Or a Leupold vx4. The only thing Im leery about is the warantee turn around. I sent a 4200 in a few yrs ago and it took 7 months. Ive sent 2 emails to Bushnel about this and has it improved. I recieved 2 prompt replies with sincere apologies but no answer to my question how long does it take now. Anyone with positive mail in experience lately?

I have sent an old, discontinued Legend 1-4x back after the reticle fell inside the scope.

It was beat up pretty good over a weeked of riding the trails strapped to my quad.

I sent it back, and although it took a month, because they were waiting on the new model to come out, I was issued a replacement at no cost, but shipping. They gave me the newer model, and it came with the BC caps that mine did not.

I have since decided to stick to the higher end stuff, but I will buy Bushnell everytime if the price is right, and it usually is.

That sounds like a good experience. Ive looked through the 6500 sitting side by side with a Leupold and I like wihat I see. The knobs and clicks feel very good. The 4-30 had a fair bit of distortion at the high end but the 2.5-16 was clear and bright. But sending a scope off for repair and it taking 7 months to me is absurd and inexcusable. Im hoping my experience is a rarity and one of those deals whre it fell behind the bench and the janitor found it 5 months later and put it back on the bench cause it does happen. The other draw back to Bushy is the reticle choices. I like the hash marks like Wotac and Falcon Menace. I dont suppose theres place that will install custom reticles?

Bushnell Warranty

Sent away for repair a 10 year old pair of 10x25 trophy binos about 3 months ago, received in the mail yesterday a brand new pair of 10x28 Trophy xlt binos
all on warranty and shipped at no cost. I am more than pleased to say the least and way to go Bushnell. Cutblock:canadaFlag:

I just bought a 4-12X40 Banner Dusk & Dawn. Put it on the M-700 and trucked out to the range. Old John asked me how I liked it. I said I don't know, I haven't tried it yet. (He didn't understand and asked me 3 more times how I liked it.) He said he had one on his .22 and was all over the paper at a 100 yds. One I zero'd I put 4 inside a toonie. Next time I'll try and tighten that group up a tad but it seemed to be holding its zero for me. Good to know about the warranty stuff though.

Do you guys have an address or website for bushnell's Canadian warranty center?
a buddy of mine has two Bushnells that have failed (one that i sold him, oops) so i'd like to give him a hand getting these repaired/ replaced.

go to the busnell site and use the richmond hill address- it'll cost 10 bucks plus shipping for their "inspection" fee even if the scope has the lifetime warranty

10 is a small price to pay i guess.

So basically the timeline can run from 3 - 6 months?
