I was just there last night and seen a sign about them being closed sometime this weekend (I think) until 10AM due to hydro 1 planned outage. Maybe it was today and took a little longer?? Other than that I can't imagine them not being open.
Never had a phone here that needed power to ring, oh well learn something new everyday.
If you have no water and the store is closed then the phone will ring and ring cuz nobody is there to answer. Thus a full answering service.

Exactly why I don't have digital phone. If the power (or internet) are out, I can still use my phone. Never seen one that did'nt work when the power was out.
The old conventional land lines work during a power outage, However, this being the modern age most phones are cordless which have a base station that is plugged into AC. No power= No phone. That aside, you don't want to be there on a long weekend. People will be lined right up the downstairs ramp into the main part of the store. They will be overrun. Good luck getting someone on the blower.

I guess I'll have to try phoning them during the weekday.
(I do wish they would have, at the very least, acknowledged my emails (sent during the week), but I understand about being swamped.)

I have a phone in the basement and one in the garage to use when the power is out.![]()
We answer anywhere from 45-70 E-mails PER DAY, in addition to the endless telephone calls we receive each and every hour. Some days when we open, our voice mail system is already full after being cleared the night before! Between walk-in customers, phone calls and E-mails, we are often hard pressed to stay above water with the volume of sales that we deal with on a regular basis. We do ask for your understanding during this very busy time of the year. We endeavour to answer all E-mails within 24-48 hours as we are able, and we do take as many phone calls as we are able between handling our in-store clientelle.
Please keep a watchful eye on our website, as we do post our hours there, as well as notifications for any special closures or reduced hours due to holidays or unexpected issues such as the upcoming scheduled power outage by Hydro One.
