Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

I must say that I friggin hate the look of those Ruger mini 14 and 30. Jeezus, what a homely lookin gun. And they shoot patterns to boot. Most overpriced homely lookin excuse for a gun I have ever seen.

Don't care for Remingtons found they were like lightning flashy but never strikes the same place twice.

Don't really hate any rifles but a few i would not have are,

30 cal + magnums unless your after a grizz do you need a cannon to obliterate the critter i actually eat what i shoot.

Anything that costs more than i make in a month they may be nice but not really practical for hunting and with ammo prices i don't kill paper everyday.

I know there are a few anti-Remington posts here.
But both of my 788s, deliver the goods when required.
Edit: A very handy .222 (lota and lots of varmints were had) and a .308, used for eleven deer seasons in Saskatchewan without a hitch.
At least these 788s, were made in a different era, when Remington cared about thier reputation.

I do believe though the Model 710, is too cheaply made, and poorly assembled, to be considered a seriously 'good' big game rifle, just my opinion.
I think the execs at Remington really considered the bottom line too seriously, when thier engineers designed this 'rifle.'

Pretty well anything with a bolt that is a hunting rifle.
I've had quite a few , some real classy things as well, like a8X56Mannlicher Schoenauer, a few nice mauser 98's, and Tikka Super sporter.
But, I just can't get my head around that - unless it's an Enfield - go figure!! Cat

I got it all figured out the only ingrediant missing is Salt Beef!!!!

I love model 700s but that ### VTR thing with the cheap plastic stock, the non-functional muzzle break and the idiotic barrel design that must have come from someone who read too many books on the power of pyramids should be tossed into a deep dark canyon and burried with a billion tonnes of used butt wipe.

I don't think anyone hates the way they shoot, just the way they feel. The tikka T3 is like a blow up ### doll. Sure it is good in bed, but it still feels like plastic.

Meh!!!!!! You may have a point, and I may let you have it, but if you are sleeping with your gun again , I will have to let Gatehouse know where you live. Apparently he goes for that sort of thing. He He HEEEEEEE!! ! ! ! !

wow I just read through this post and some guys need some help I own 1 or 2 of every ####ty guns in this list and I'd buy more if I wasn't on welfare but I will tell you that they all shoot and that's why they are still in my locker it's amazing how a rifle becomes alluring when it shoots small groups

Remington 700. I know its a very good action. But I hate the rifle. nothing special about them and there is SO many out there.

Browning BLR - Find me an uglier hunting rifle thats been in production for so long.

Im also not a huge fan of Rem 700 even though I do own one (.223 varmint).

870 Express of late. Gives a bad name to Remingtons. Curiously, my 870 Wingmaster is just about as perfect as it gets.

Some hate on the browning BLR. I own one in 22-250, one of the funnest guns to shoot that I have. Love it. Also a lot of a-bolt hate. I have owned two, sure their different but they also work and they also shoot very well from what I have found. People are scared of different, it is crazy. If it isn't in their gunsafe then it is garbage. Or if they had 1 rifle that didn't work well for them then it is also garbage. Crazy. I own 12 guns right now of a variety of makes and calibers. I wouldn't sell any of them because I like them all.
