Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

Remmington, first shoot to point of aim, second shot 6" away, third shoot, point of aim.

Tried everything but could not get it to shoot!!!

Remington 710 or 770, both were the worst rifles I've ever owned

You owned both? How did that happen? I would have to say worst rifle in my book is the Tikka t3 due to its cheap feeling plastic stock. That said it weighs so little it must be a dream to hunt with. I owned a rem 710 for my first rifle and never knew what else was out there so I loved it. I have a savage 10fcp now Oh my god what a difference.

OK..Maybe sorry to say it but...>.222 Awesome rifle...300YDS. Pas de problem...
Twin trigger Krico....Pick which eye you wanted to take
A grounhog exclusive.
Had more fun, wasted more hogs. Required 2. Shooter/ spottter.
If you missed the first shot ...they would stick their heads up.."Whatwas that?"
Awesome gun...lotsa fun.

Wow , there sure are a lot of T3 haters out there. Mine is a T3 Lite Stainless chambered in .338 Federal and shoots .5" 3 shot groups all day long with that Federal Premium 185 TSX load. Most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Bar none.
Post- '64 Winchester M70'S are pure dog sh%t. I will never buy one again.

I don't think anyone hates the way they shoot, just the way they feel. The tikka T3 is like a blow up ### doll. Sure it is good in bed, but it still feels like plastic.

ANY bolt action that holds two rounds. I mean, are you f**king kidding me??? Two round mag?? I don't care if it is chambered for one of those "short, fat" magnums. Give it a real goddamn mag already. Go five or go home! WTF are they thinking???

The larger Weatherbys (.378, 416, .460) come to mind. Given that these rifles are intended for dangerous game, this is one of the rare cases where magazine capacity might be important in a big game rifle. Many other makers of heavy rifles offer a drop box magazine to hold a full four or five rounds.

There is no question in my mind that I would prefer a double rifle over a bolt action with a two-shot magazine for dangerous game. The faster second shot and reloads nullify the advantage of the third shot when things go pear-shaped IMO. If I was going to choose a bolt action for dangerous game, I would much rather select one that held at least three rounds in the magazine.

The fact that Weatherbys have garish styling and the factory ammo is loaded to high pressures, which can cause difficult extraction in hot weather, are two other factors that add to my dislike of them.

Hmmmmmm, maybe a Remington 710.

While i dont hate them, the rem 700 and Tikka T3 just dont fit me well at all. I know they are good guns with many accolades, but I dont like em. My wife has a 700, so ya, I have shot and handled one.

I much prefer my Ruger M77 and Win 70 for bolts

M37-1.jpg

260 yards Cold Lake area, 22 November 2005, about 9:15 AM.
Single shot from 30-30 Winchester M94 carbine, using Winchester Silvertip 150 grain round nose.
Deer, fell dead right there.
If you don't believe me, I don't care. Those who know me, know better.

Fell dead right there? In between the house and the truck?! What did you do, steady the rifle on a park bench?;)

This picture is taken in the backyard of where I lived at the time, in the CFB Cold Lake PMQs.
Deer was shot near the Suncorps Road, in a field of winter wheat, in the Cold Lake Petroleum Oilfields area.
And I had one hell of a time, loading him myself into the trunk of my car.
I often wonder, how I did not injure my back that day.
