as much as this is good advice, i laugh at so many guys that buy there guns as collector items and baby them like sport cards as opposed for the tool they are....
Great if if you paint your brand new sr-15 all gladly pay less because people are too stupid to get over it, all just repaint or leave it, really i could care less..
All be painting my mr223 eventually...soon...a coyote with some dark brown, who cares about resale value..i'm not in it for collecting and being a mall ninja...i buy for keeps generally speaking...

Going around with your perfectly black rifle, because it is esthetically pleasing is retarded. Black has it's place, but not on the scale it dominants the market is predominately purchased in...
Nothing in nature is black, except at night and looking far off in the distance, some natural colors are better....unless your going for the batman look..

Do some research on camo................all black stands out at night.........unless you are up against a totally black background.........
Really...................Any firearms I have sold that I have painted have not had their re-sale value affected.........maybe even enhanced a little.....
