makes me want to paint my tavor. just wondering what color tho...

Before you do, make sure you plan on keeping your Tavor forever.

Once the first spray of paint hits a gun, you can count on destroying at least 50% of its potential resale value.

I still shake my head at guys opting for do-it-yourself digi-cam paint jobs on Swiss Arms CQBs, KAC SR-15s and Colt 6920/6921 and then asking full retail a few weeks later.

As much as this is good advice, i laugh at so many guys that buy there guns as collector items and baby them like sport cards as opposed for the tool they are....

Great if you paint your brand new SR-15, all gladly pay less because people are too stupid to get over it, all just repaint it or leave it, really i could care less..

All be painting my MR223 eventually...soon...a coyote with some dark brown, who cares about resale value..I'm not in it for collecting and being a mall ninja...I buy guns for keeps generally speaking...

Unless I'm putting it on a wall or for display or the AR-15 museum then all reconsider painting it...

Going around with your perfectly black rifle, because it is esthetically pleasing is retarded. Black has it's place, but not on the scale it dominants the market and is being predominately purchased in particular color...

Nothing in nature is black, except at night and looking far off in the distance, some natural colors are better....unless your going for the Batman look..w:h:

Really...................Any firearms I have sold that I have painted have not had their re-sale value affected.........maybe even enhanced a little..... ;)

I keep hearing this and I keep seeing black in nature. What nature are you referring to? Here lots of things are black, logs, rocks, dirt, bears...ect. Where are you that everything is so not black?

Do some research on camo................all black stands out at night.........unless you are up against a totally black background.........;)

What If I plan on attacking while riding my dirt covered bear? Sure you would spot me if I were foolish enough to wear camo!

I Am a hunter before I am a shooter, although I do enjoy the shooting sports, and own a few restricteds as well... That said, even as a hunter... and a waterfowler, I've never felt the least bit hampered by a shiny black gun.... Just don't move and you'll be fine most times, so it astounds me why anyone would paint a range gun, when they will never use it for anything other than target shooting, or shooting sports where everyone knows your there already...... lol!! If your really going to hunt with it, fine fill your boots if you think you need a camo gun.... Or, if you really just want to paint your gun.... Go ahead, hell it's your property.... But it's kinda silly. I think it stems from guys seeing a couple of real operator types posting their painted guns on here. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!! Buuuuuttttt if your really concerned about the zombie hordes spotting you when they invade, you could always keep a can of krylon near the gun safe...... just a thought!!

Custom Work From Skullboy Rocks!!!

Gee it's not like Skullboy knows what he's talking about with regards to painting firearms.....:D
