Anyone have any thoughts on which brake to go with after a shorty job? Was looking at the Springfield Armoury M1A Muzzle Brake/Stabilizer from Brownells(part#817-000-002) mainly because it's relatively inexpensive and lets you reuse your stock sites. Or possibly the Troy Flash Suppressor Muzzle Brake (part#100-004-123) and then a gas lock sight. Would either of these require boring out/changing the thread count/pitch? t doesn't mention if they are threaded to
Any and all input appreciated
Just wondering if anyone knows of a place that can re-thread a shortened m14 barrel , as well as hone out a new Springfield muzzle break so as to make the 2 compatable? Any suggestions would be helpful!
Cheers!
Hey Dave,
what happened to the muzzle brake you had at the clinic?
I tried putting the brake someone gave me in Port Alberni on my gun and it didn't work
That Springfield brake is looking pretty tight, I may have to go with that one.

I got castle nut pliers with mine when I ordered it from Brownells , once I got the old flash hider off my 09 polytech the Sprinfield slipped on no problem. It does make a noticeable difference in muzzle lift .
dlask X3
quick turnover and excellent work.
