Mossberg Tactical .22 FLAT TOP!!!!!

It has a shorter barrel, flash hider and a flat top instead of a fixed carry handle just to name a few differences.

Im tempted to get one. But my Tactical .22 has been nothing but jam here jam there jam everywhere! But i did get one of the 1st batches.

So its either this 715T or an ISSC MK22 (which i know is double the price)

Thoughts?

I have one as well and no problems or jams yet. Have you tried different brands of ammo?

Not knowing i first used winchester wildcats which are obviously terrible. Then tried, CCI mini mags worked better but the gun was already from the dirty wildcats.

After a good cleaning, i used Remington viper .22LR ammo. Started jamming after about 80 rounds fired. thinking of trying Federal bulk next or Winchester 555.

If it still jams, i give up on this gun. So im a little worried about getting a mossberg 715T because of the performance of my tac .22

Edit: What ammo are you using?

I use federal only in my 22s, its the only brand I've never had problems with lol. Do you have the 25 round mags?

No. when i bought the rifle, it only came with a single 10 round mag. Was kinda disapointed when i found out later models came with 25 round mags.

How does the 25 round mag perform?

Mine came with the 10 rounder as well, I bought the 25's when they came out. I've never had problems with the 10 or the 25, maybe you got a lemon?

Probably is a Lemon. Do you think im better off trying the 715T then? even though its almost the same thing?

Edit: im going to try running some Federal ammo through it this weekend. See how it performs.

federal in the red box works about as good as blazers and winchester super x and everything else i tryed in mine...it eats them all
and i throw away about 50 out of 500 rounds:(
but the new toy i just bought loves the federals and the winchesters so far :D (Its not a mossburg);)

Ah, opinions are great! I got to fondle a first model the other day at the range and I thought it felt very solid. I don't know if the forearm is metal or not but it felt like it, the rails felt very sharp. I have the Archangel stock and the Mossberg version feels much less "toy like" to me. So thats my opinion :D TC.

I love toys! Count me in for one....wait, I already have one! Great little raccoon displacer. If nothing else the looks scare the liberal raccoons more so than a cooey.......

Please correct me if i am wrong but i assumed that because its now 16 1/4" barrel, the first one was 18", so assumed its restricted like the M&P 15-22

The M&P 15-22 is not restricted because of barrel length, it is restricted because it is classified as an AR-15 variant, therefore restricted by name.

26" overall length is what matters for rimfire.

anyone find the new flat top version yet I have the old with carry handle was
going to remove it and put on a flat top rail...also does anyone know a place to get mags, can't find them anywhere?
