Once again Tim showed skill, enthusiasm and dedication to spend a day on his feet shouting at a herd of cats....

I relearned a few lessons.

If you don't LokTite it it will fall off....

Brain farts will defeat skilled shooting.

Red dots need working batteries. irons and scopes don't.

Rain is not noticable when you are focused and having fun.

I have to step up my game to beat junior.

One of the Quebecors had a neat 9mm carbine. Polish, I think. Anyone know the model name/number?

Wow:eek: look at those scores!

Almost glad I could not make it today, I would have been humbled more than usual!:D

I will be there in November to close it out, looks like I had better get practicing!

Another great event - thanks to Tim & Steve & Greg - as Ganderite said - it was so much fun we didn't even notice the rain!

Cheers guys & thanks for letting me off the hook for the cleanup - rained the whole drive, but I was home by 8:30 :)

Even old farts like me had a blast. Funny, I'm shooting better in lousy weather; who would have thought. Congrats to the the top three shooters, well done!! Thanks to Tim, Greg and Steve for running a great match!!

You are a dedicated lad, I have to say! Good to see you out again!

Bloody hell, my son beat me!!! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it, and wasn't last on her first time!! She needs more practice changing mags, that's where we lose so much time.

There were some comical moments...

"ON THE WHISTLE WATCH AND SHOOT, WATCH AND SHOOT..." Bam! Bam!
and almost the entire line fired!!! Interesting the mob mentality. We are just eager...

My HiLux red-dot failed into the practice, so we borrowed another CZ and shot iron sites. Still not bad for us! Great day, looking forward to Nov 12. Congrats to the winners.

I was next to you, squauded with Ganderite, (who would have probably won the whole deal were it not for some equipment issues...Nuff said) and I witnessed the whole deal.
I think your daughter 'aquited' herself very well...considering her experience...and the very trying conditions.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how everyone managed with the equipment failures and other challenges...and from the 'first person singular' point of view I don't think anyone could have managed the difficult conditions any better. Kudos to all......
I have only participated in these matches a couple of times, but have been impressed with the camaraderie, and the willingness for participants to aid other 'competitors' with equipment issues...coaching each other through the different courses of fire...helping their 'squadmates' through the match.
This spirit of co-operation seems to be lacking in other shooting sports...IPSC, etc., and it has inspired me to continue to sign up for future matches.....
Kudos to Tim, Plink and everyone else involved in continuing to organize, and run, these matches.....

I think that the best part of my day was during match 4 when my squad mate finally got through the transition and finished the pistol stage. He was happy and so was I. It took me several matches to get that down myself and I remember the relief.:)

It is a spectacularly friendly group that we get to shoot with and that really adds an element that makes me keep coming back for more.

Truth be told, I mentioned to the guys on my relay that I basically didn't give a rats ass where I personally came in on the shoot, I was having WAY to much fun just watching everyone having a good time! It truly was a blast!!

Standing behind Andrew (Camaro) as he was blasting the #### out of the center of a target and chunks of stick flying everywhere, I was pissing myself laughing!!

Could have been that I was a bit punchy as I was running on a total of 3 hours sleep that night as well... but.......... :D LOL

As others mentioned, the camaraderie that exists in these matches is incredible. I honestly leave these matches every time with a big smile on my face thinking "what an incredible bunch of people to be shooting with"

Thanks Tim for changing ranges and changing it up a bit. The "uphill waddle" to get to the last line made for a nice change of pace during the match. :)

My nephew took some photos:

Must be ready with lots of ammo.
