Hey guys,

was at a gun show today and a guy had a nagant m44 carbine for sale in good condition. He wanted $200 for it.

I thought $200 was pretty high for a mosin at the time so I left but I really wanted it so I returned to find it had already been sold :(

Does anybody know of any canadian online retailers who sell these on how much they typically go for?

Thanks

P.S Militaria have polish m44 in stock. Polish m44 goes from $300+ they are the best M44 you will ever find. Top notch quality and many are exc to unissued condition. I have an unissued 1 and not for sale:) Typical russian or east german go around $200+ on occasion. You can also place a WTB in the EE forum.

It is sold out in Canada wide.. 200$ is reasonable.. The polish m44s go over 300$
The m44 and m38 are not very cheap they are rare not like the 91/30.

Sorry I'm not familiar with "militaria"

now im beating myself up for not buying it :(

Yup. $200 -$300 depending on condition. More for Polish M44. You should have grabbed it while you had the chance. Mosin carbines are much fewer than the standard M91/30. I think everyone should have one of each :)

$360 AT P.S. MILITARIA!!!

OUCH!!!!!!!!!

I picked up that exact same gun from Ellwood Epps in next to mint condition, with a shiny, yet slightly pitted bore for $175, and that was just last month.

Other than that I haven't been able to find anyone else in Canada carrying them.

The 91/30's are a really good deal if your just looking for a range toy, but they are way too friggin long for my liking.

I bought from P.S in the past and the price reflect the condition. At $360,you can be sure that the bore is excellent, nothing less.:)

Agreed, or just a regular mosin and a crate of ammo.

Thats what I would have done with your money if you bought mine! LOL

Get yourself a nice 91/30 and a a half crate of ammo. The nice 91/30's go for $150, and 440 rounds can be had for less than $200.

Your shoulder will prolly thank you to.

Most guys can't handle the recoil of the M44 too well. ;)

Don't pay 300 for anything but a mint polish M44.

I have purchased two this year - both unfired condition for 300 a pop. The polish M44 is probably the nicest of the M44's, and they pop up on the EE every so often (once a month-ish?).

Other M44's are available and come up on the EE - usually in the 200 range.

These things also do kick the crap out of your shoulder. One of my fave rifles to shoot. They tent to fit just right, the accuracy is decent to boot! Don't kick yourself. You'll find one soon.

don't worry, despite what other guys here are saying...

M44 come up for sale all the time, and $200 isn't such a great deal at all.

I found an unissued Polish one last year for $250, and since then I saw at least ten more (Polish) here on the EE.

You didn't miss the "deal of the century"

At the moment, there are several M44 on the EE. From $180 for a nice laminated Russian to a $300 (shipped) Polish.
Check it out...
