ISSC Rifle... very disappointing!

although I have never experienced what occurred in the video, I have had many ftes... The somewhat disturbing thing is that the gun still allows you to pull the trigger without the bolt fully being closed...i don't understand why it will allow you to pull the trigger in these situations (possibly resulting in the video experience) but will lock the trigger when the mag is empty or out of the gun.

as promised.....

like I said, 100 rounds through it and so far so good. I will abuse it and see if I can get it to fail

ISSC haters, let's see yours...

Reminds me of big daddy’s room in Kickass!

Do you store them like that too, or is it just for display ? Either way it's pretty cool !

it was said to be a FTE but it still allowed the next round to chamber and fire, no firearm should allow that!, definetly renagging my order of this one

I carefully recreated the same scenario on my 10/22 (bullets pulled of course) and I am happy to report that although the hammer will drop... the pin does not hit the rim with sufficient force to detonate.

In fact, I even pulled back on the bolt by about 1mm (well under the specs of a jammed, crushed case) thinking that it'd go off for sure. It didn't.

Only an extremely slight detent is visible on the case .5mm in length on the edge (barely visible).

So yeah, this problem is definitely a major design flaw.
However, I'm sure it will get solved though with a redesign of some components (new bolt or hammer?).

Well took my mk22 to the range for its second outing. I had tightened and loktited the back screw. Fist 250 rounds had 2 ftf, next 125 had an ever increasing number until the last 25 which probably had 14 ftf. Haven't taken the rifle apart yet but suspect the bolt has come lose again.

Keep us updated.

I have been watching this thread, anticipating the arrival of my rifle. I must say that I was a little nervous about what I've been reading here. Upon receiving my rifle, I striped it down, cleaned, lubed and loc-tited all the bolts.
I purchased some cci stingers to break it in. They cost alot, they must be good. I also bought some winchester super x high velocity, and a bulk pack of cci blazers. The first magazine of stingers fed through without issue. The Empty shells fly out with authority! Next mag was the blazers, also no issues. After these first two magazines, my nerves were calmed. What followed was 4 different shooters, all different skill levels, loading mags and shooting evil empties. The brass flew and the cans fell. I am NOT disappointed! Over 1000 rounds of various ammo (mostly cci blazer) and the only problems were a couple of magazine feed issue's, which I am sure was poor loading by my girlfriend. So to sum it up, mine works great! a blast to shoot and I would recommend it to all.

I learned my lesson with the Sig Mosquito. I now stick with .22's that don't look like centerfire guns. But they work.

Here is the chain.

Place of purchase
Place of distribution for inspection
Place of authorized repair/replacement
Manufacture has final decision

You can solve the issue yourself, but this is a new firearm and it should work without (reasonable)issues.

I'm glad that somebody is sending theirs back so that North Sylvia can see this issue because they said that they saw no problems with these so far.

When are you going to try yours out Ballox?Whats your hold up?

Busy with family committments plus I won't have access to my indoor range till January. Unless someone wants to invite me to theirs lol! Until then i'll just have to enjoy dry firing at bad shows on the Plasma screen.:)

Even more disappointing!!!

This is even more disappointing!!! further to a very long and nasty letter to the CEO of ISSE this is what they reply (see below)????
Good luck to the ones that still own the rifle, luckily I returned mine!

"We regret to inform you that we have been engaged in a contract dispute with the manufacturer, ISSC Gambels, since August 6, 2011. Unfortunately, until the dispute is resolved we cannot respond to requests for service or warranty work. We will keep your request on file and as soon as the dispute is resolved we will try to respond to your request."

lol i just got that e-mail as well...it was in response to a message to service@issc-austria.com

interestingly I also sent a message to issc@inext.at (which i found on another issc website?) and they had a much different response. This response advised that I may need a new firing pin and hammer spring and advised me obtain these parts through North Sylva.
