If you have to ask you do not have the expierience required to hunt big game with a small calibre.
Might be legal in your province but highly unadvisable

So if I ask if a 20mm anti tank is legal to hunt with I shouldn't hunt due to not knowing if it is legal to use. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
What is the minimum cartridge length required by law to hunt in your province? Gonna look that up? Some places really do have that regulation.
Pretty good list with one omission hillmar2. In Labrador .22 centrefire with a muzzle energy of 1500 foot pounds, is okay for barrenground caribou. (22-250 meets this requirement)BC any centerfire
AB .23 or larger
SK .23 or larger
MB any centerfire
ONT any centerfire
QC .243 or larger
NS .23 or larger
NFLD illegal
NB Any centerfire
PEI No deer hunting
YK 6mm minimum.
NWT Any centerfire except bison
NU 5.56/ 223
The NWT, IIRC is the only province with a minimum cartridge length for big game hunting now.
