Why no Benelli MR 1 luv on this board?

Just to be clear, I personally like the MR-1 a great deal....:)

I've been debating which .223 cal rifle I'll purchase to celebrate the long gun registry death and I've noticed the Bennelli offerings don't seem to be popular despite the relatively low cost, use of ar mags and seemingly good reviews. Is there something I'm missing?

The Kel-Tec SU-16 at sub-$1,000 prices may rival the MR-1 at $1,300 prices...

???

All of the MR1's I've seen are in that $1800 - $1900 range.

All of the new XCR's I've seen are in the $2200 range.

= $300 difference.

You need to start looking for the $1300-$1,450 ones....;)

Umm... I think I agree, but I'm not sure...

.........:D......

Sorry boys but it just looks wrong to me. My $0.02.....

I really don't see anything wrong with how it looks (RX4 Storm, but essentially the same as the MR1). Front rail adapter, shorter barrel and flash hider; looks pretty sharp.

As Magpul dealer I am surprised by your support for this, beside a RVG, Pmag, MSA perhaps a MS2, you not going to make much off this rifle, heck you can't even sell them any Loctite Laugh2

Rail panels. :D It's not really any different than the CX4 Storm in terms of the lack of modularity. I was just trying to point out that the aesthetics aren't as bad as some black rifles. And for $1,600-$1,800 it's a pretty good deal for a non-restricted that accepts standard AR/LAR magazines.

I held one, shot it and thought it was awesome. It felt good all around, not cheap or plasticky imo and it shot very well to. Its no AR in terms of ergonomics but then again nothing ever will be. I definately wouldn't pay 1800 for it but anything around 1300 i may (and have considered) if i had the cash. For me it wouldn't be a tacticool everything and the kitchen sink hangin' form it ordeal it would be what it is out of the box and it would be my coyote gun.

Some new ones with the collapsible stock are going for $1,550.

It is an unproven/ or time tested platform. Maybe in a couple years when all the quirks of this rifle are known people will jump on board.
The following is not intended to offend anyone, but just like the Robertson XCR and Bushmasters ACR they are all the hype when new and shinney but now all the ACR and XCR threads are quiet and still unproven and unreliable.

AR's, Springfield M1A, even VZ,s are the devil we all know and we won't be suprised when something breaks because we expect certian things to happen and know how to deal with them.

The devil you know versus the devil you don't....maybe

As far as Non-restricted who cares...as a guess 90% of them are at the range beside an AR anyhow.
Personal opinion ...I Hated it,I love my Benelli shotgun but this is their worst effort yet, 4 differnt kinds of ammo and couldn,t shoot any kind of group(2.5" @ 100) at all and couldn't make it through 2 of the 4 brands tried for function.

The ACR is an awesome rifle. The reason the threads are quiet is that they sold out everywhere - so there's only a limited number of them out there. And since those of us who have them already know they're fantastic and a total XCR 'killer' - what else is there to say? ;)

I hear what your saying blaxsun... They are fun and have a decent feel to them...but I'm not sold on one yet. I will likely look again in a couple of years at the ACR but not much has changed in 4 yrs of production. And they are a total XCR killer by leaps and bounds. Have had 2 of them and both were junk, broken recievers, broken stock attatchment, retarded amounts of wear on a well lubed action for the round count.

I would like to see pics of some actual 5 shot 100 yard groups that people are getting that are saying they are so accurate. I had 2 and sold them both because the wouldn't shoot very well. Worse than 2 inches at 100 all the time with many kinds of ammo.

No pics, sorry.

I have a Leupold 2x7 Revolution with the Accurange reticle mounted in Leupold See-Through rings. I can still use the irons.

With Fiochi ball at 100 yards off a front rest (no sand bags) it groups 5 rounds into 2". It could do better with sandbags, handloads and a better rifleman ;).

At 200 yards it shot a 5 shot 3.5" group.
