i like that they upped the short, medium, long - minimum rounds , but i don't like that they kept the 3,2,1 ratio. and that there going to strictly enforce it for sanctioned matches

EDIT - ADD - OOOooOO I REALLY LIKE THIS NEW ONE :)
2.2.1.5 If a COF has a passageway visibly delineated by fault lines and/or a clearly demarcated shooting area, any competitor who takes a shortcut outside the passageway and/or shooting area will incur one procedural penalty for each shot fired after beginning the shortcut.

I am not crazy about this one... it just seems to have been put in there for the lazy course designers / stage builders... If you don't want people to take a short cut, build a fence or put up a row of barrels...simple solution rather than "ruling us to death"... just my $0.02.

YEP, TOTALLY disagree with you. and video below to show why .

and done within the confines.

yes many ways to play the game, but why not show your shooting skills rather then out of the box skills

and tell me, where i should put a wall here .

Also i see they got rid of virgina count and fixed time.

What would have been so hard about putting 5 barrels or so off the end of the wall (where the competitor was touching in the start position)... lined up in a row going up range so that it was not advantageous to go that way?

yep and take them from ? the other 17 stages that were set up,,

would it be so hard to shoot it as designed. and show the skill that way ?

Not to mention... according to my timer, the competitor that went outside of the shooting area took longer to get his first shot off compared to competitor that stayed in the shooting area by a tenth of a second or two. (Although, I realize that this could be a "D Class shooter" compared to an "A Class shooter".)

Still could have been easily fixed.

It would have been quite easy to outlaw cross-country in the stage briefing. You, as the MD, chose not to. For the record, the path taken outside the shooting area was considered by most people, and found to be a disadvantage.

It has nothing to do with showing out of the box skills versus shooting skills. It is part of the DVC, and the reason why a COF is left up to a shooter to solve.

That is easy. A wall or even a yellow police stripe at the waist level at the first shooting position.

yes, sure but when ? after the first person does it. and belive me i try to make all my stages so you shoot it with in the confines. and i have ideas to make stages more FREESTYLE but have always been hinderd by ppl running over fult lines, and without spending my whole day on making a stage bullet proof but you cant do this to 10 to 17 stages, just not enough time., i like this new rule and i belive it will open some doors on possiblitlys.

and belive me my stages will still have just as many walls as other stages i have created and spent my time and effort in making.

I likes the yellow tape,...I used it the last weekend. IT saves time and lumber. I only had so much storm fencing :)
