2.2.1.5 If a COF has a passageway visibly delineated by fault lines and/or a clearly demarcated shooting area, any competitor who takes a shortcut outside the passageway and/or shooting area will incur one procedural penalty for each shot fired after beginning the shortcut.
i like that they upped the short, medium, long - minimum rounds , but i don't like that they kept the 3,2,1 ratio. and that there going to strictly enforce it for sanctioned matches
EDIT - ADD - OOOooOO I REALLY LIKE THIS NEW ONE![]()
I am not crazy about this one... it just seems to have been put in there for the lazy course designers / stage builders... If you don't want people to take a short cut, build a fence or put up a row of barrels...simple solution rather than "ruling us to death"... just my $0.02.
What would have been so hard about putting 5 barrels or so off the end of the wall (where the competitor was touching in the start position)... lined up in a row going up range so that it was not advantageous to go that way?
yep and take them from ? the other 17 stages that were set up,,
If you want to shoot it "as designed" or intended... go shoot IDPA or PPC... IPSC matches are FREESTYLE!
and tell me, where i should put a wall here .
That is easy. A wall or even a yellow police stripe at the waist level at the first shooting position.
IPSC 2012 Handgun Rules/Marked Up Version is available now at Global Village.....words that are stroked through are deletions, those underlined are new...............alot to go through for changes effective Jan 1

when ever I read GLOBAL VILLAGE I have to think pok pok lo

You could also have designated that the rear of the fault line was the "end of the range" as well.
I likes the yellow tape,...I used it the last weekend. IT saves time and lumber. I only had so much storm fencing![]()
