I'm not sure I buy that. I run a 20lbs spring in my 17's and a buddy has run 24lbs springs in both his 9mm and .40 Glocks without issue.

With my gen4 G22 it's takes a lot more force to retract the slide just enough to reset the striker then even on my G29 10mm or any other semi I've had. Regular springs get heavier as the spring gets compressed, gen4 spring is heavy at first but almost gets lighter later.
I had recurrent failures to extract with a Gen 3 G19 that came, new from Questar, with a sterile (unmarked) barrel that - based on the product description - I'd assumed to have been made by Lone Wolf. The failures plagued me until I switched the barrel for an IGB. (Problem solved. There has not been a failure of any kind ever since.) I asked Lone Wolf whether my sterile barrel had been made by them. The answer was no.
Long story short...are you sure your barrel is a Lone Wolf?
I dunno, just what i read on the net. Hickok45 did a few videos on it and basically thats the best he said he could come up with. He only had two or so malfunctions and they were at the start, no malfunctions after. I think it was out of 1000 rounds or so. He was basically trying to debunk why so many people were having probs. Check out the vids yourself.
The gen 3s are not the problem, even the gen 4 G22s work fine. Its the Glock 19 gen 4s that have had the problems reported.

You haven't mentioned your experience with handguns.
Also as has been mentioned weaker ammo has been an issue with some of the Gen 4's. When I first got my Glock I had to up my powder charges to allow it to function reliably.

Just checkin. It's a common issue with the glock when I bring noobs out for the first time.
A lot of the Gen 4 19s are a ####ing mess.
Standard issues include erratic ejection, weak extraction, and stovepiping.
I would not #### with it for one second...send it back.
The Gen 4 issues have not been sorted out yet and until they are, I'm not buying one. The G19s have been the worst to my knowledge. The G22s have been not too bad, but not great. On the other hand the Gen 3 22s weren't quite as good as the 17s, either.
The G17s have been mixed. But the 19s have been the worst, to my knowledge. I can think of a number of notorious examples.
To fix the issues, you will need the latest RSA, extractor, and ejector. Which may not be available for the 19 yet...I don't know whether they take the same part number as the 17. But they are almost certainly not available in Canada at all. I am not sure whether Glock has made all three available in the US yet.
And that will HOPEFULLY solve your problem. At any rate I wouldn't waste time dicking around with it myself. You need parts that you can't get to fix the problem and Glock sold you a dog. Send it back.

I took it back to the gun shop where i bought it from and said "Whisky Tango Foxtrot!"
The guy says that he'll "tune" it for me for free. He field strips it and uses a spray Teflon to lubricate.....everything! Puts it back together and tells me to run it. I thinking BS but I'll try it.....never had another problem since.....that's like 1200 rds. Out of the box I couldn't get of 3 rds off without it stovepiping.
My Glock had to be lubed and broken it a bit is all, not a lemon,not a return spring issue. My .02 is to give it a few hundred more rds and see
