Glock 19 Gen 4 Problems

saw a guy with a brand spanking new gen 4 glock 17 with 115 grain factory white box 9mm... he was stovepiping at least once per mag... I took the gun from him and i shot 3 mags consecutively with no failures... then i purposely limp wristed and the problem reoccured... he told me he used to shoot a revolver exclusively prior... that was the problem... weak and chceap 115 grain ammo combined with a limp wrist, nothing but problems with the gen4... i lost faith in glock... well kinda... i ran a gen 3 glock 17, 34, 22, 23 and 19 with absolutely no issues whatsoever... i want to get back into 9mm.. i shoot 45 exclusively... im staying away from the gen4 for now... maybe ill get a gen 3 17 to be on the safe side....

I have a gen4 g22. I use white lithium grease on the new recoil spring. Haven't had a problem at all. I don't believe in the break in period either. I lubed it and it shot fine since the very 1st round.

Accuracy-wise though my $1300 sig 226 also in 40 beats it by just a hair. I actually feel more recoil in the sig than the Glock so the new spring does work. Mind you I have full stainless sig so it's 42 oz vs Glock which is only 23 oz, and that's saying something.

Misleading title for sure!
This has nothing to do with Glock.
Stock glocks do not have usual break-in malfunctions of any kind.

Its that aftermarket barrel causing the trouble.
That will require usage to remedy some of the malfunctions.
Also typical glock ejects brass straight back if limp wristing
Look up proper grip and have at it.

I have done quite a bit of reading this morning and I disagree. It appears there are numerous problems with the Gen 4 guns. It appears there is a new ejector that is supposed to help, but Glock isnt shipping it out to individuals.

stay with a gen 3.... or go with a rtf2 glock 19/17... it gives you the super rough grip which i loved on my glock 22....(why the f*** did i get rid of it) the backstraps are just backstraps...and that recoil spring on the new ones is just trouble...i would never want to be tied up to shooting exclusively 124 grain 9mm...thank god glock still makes gen 3 (at least i think they do)
