MR-1 and Lapua Scenars 77 gr...Wow... Pics...

I was given some Scenars 77 gr bullets by a co-shooter, first time i was out with differents OAL rounds to find a good one... I did 77 gr Scenars, 25 gr of BL-C2 (over the max ) BR-4. OAL 2,268, over the chrony they were pushing avg of 2825 fps ,very low SD... I did reload 100 of that recipe and i went to shoot for groups, all were good but i got a very good one, here it is... This is a 10 shots groups, i made 2 mistakes the one in the black and the lowest one in the white, ten shots in 1.4 inchs...8 shots in .75, those bullets are good and my rifle never stop to amaze me... If this is at 100 yards, your group is better or at least equal to, the grouping ability of several, much much more expensive non-restricted black rifles. (as long as this is repeatable that is)

There's no shame in a 10 shot group like that at 100m out of a semiauto rifle.

Yes all groups were at 100 metres, here is 4 more targets 5 and 6 shots sub moa and i know 3 shots groups is not representative but i got a sub quarter inch group with those Scenars, you bet i will order a bunch of them as it took my MR-1 to another level of accuracy... Cheers. JP.

After 5000 shots +, the single biggest improvement on my mr-1 is the trigger, brand new the travel was heavier and it would brake around 5.5 pounds but now travel is non noticeable and it do brake clean just south of 4 pounds... Imagine a MR-1 in 308 not a R-1, it would be something else... Cheers.JP.

The MR1 is one of the rifles on my short list to get, with the adjustable stock and throw my Leupold CQT on top

Of the single biggest factors in high precision shooting it's first of all the operator, followed by the cartridge. The gun can only be expected to do so much.
