1- The trigger assembly is stock ( exept for the auto-bolt mod ) but i planned to do it this winter.. You have already sent me the forum links for that... Thats really interesting stuff...

2- Nordic do not sale those.
You must buy this part from a Ruger Canadian Service Point...

If i tell you, there will be several :p

I must tell you, i'm machinist for about 11 years.
I bought an AR FF handguard.
I made a new nut with the right threads.
Then i fixed the handguard assembly on my riffle.
Of course it was much too low...
So i fugured how i can modify ( read mill ) the handguard and put a new rail on top ( just the right size ).
I drew some plans with the measures.
After that i found someone ( machinist ).
And at last...ArmaCoat...

I didn't made the handguard myself cauz the kind of machines i work is just too big for that kind of work...

End of story ;)

That is the KEWLEST looking 1022 setup I've seen in a long while.
Is that a custom job or is the AR treatment to the buttstock a kit?
I really prefer this approach to the AR or other approaches.
Kind of M14 Socom like me thinks.

I want to replace the folder section of my BC 1022 folder stock with a AR collapsible as well as do the same to a conventional Ruger stock as well.

I thought there was an adapter I could get that screws right onto the rar face of the BC folder that accepts AR buffer tubes?

Can you detail your gun for us?
The stock, receiver rail, the forward controls etc.

Sorry about the delay, a very busy week. It's a customized stock wood stock, some pics of the build here http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q47/elimsprint/1022/. I got the urge to build a new gun after the "mini SOCOM" build I saw on here but I wanted a CQB design. I bought some bits and parts from the EE plus the Magpul AFG2 and UTG Quad rail from different dealers. I had the cheapy reflex sight laying around. It has a Dlask 12.5" with Levang comp. The reciever and trigger group came from the EE also. The trigger group is plastic, first one I ever worked on and had no trouble gettting a really nice 2.3# trigger using the stock parts. The silver screw in the side is the back part of a RimFire Technologies bedding kit, the only way to go IMHO though I do use my own style front pillar as you can see from the pics on PB. I am going to black out the screw and change the mag release also but I just haven't figured out what I am going to put on there yet. Also a green laser and a flashlight just because. I built it to shoot the dueling tree matches we have in my backyard and so far have managed a 6.8 second 12 shot string with it at 20 yds shooting up one side and down the other on the tree's 3" plates. Here it is with a mag in it.

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Just because it reopened I'll add the latest shot of my CQB with the quad rail cut down. I like it a lot better this way. I still have to do the silver elements black but I seem to be shooting too much and not working in the shop, bad me! Oh yeah, the cheekpiece was just on to see what it looked like but it is not needed for those sights.

A little stone work & some polishing compound go a long way in a 10/22 trigger group. If you have a dremel and decent sharpening stones/wet or dry sand paper 400 - 1000 grit it can be done. I probably disassembled and reassembled mine 10 times over 6hrs of polishing and testing now its a crisp 2.3 lbs. If you like tinkering with your guns as it appears I highly recommend. Worst case you buy the parts after trying, nothing lost but time!

Was that aimed at me? Did you mean the cheekpiece? If so it is a clip on piece that goes on a lot of collapsible stocks though I have never tried it on a SR22 buttstock. It works really well on a scoped rifle, specially high mounted ones. I have a spare if you need one.

Do you have a thread for this project? How did you get that butt tube on?
 
Thanks alot, looks fantastic! I was thinking about adding an AR carry handle with a top picatinny mounted to it so I can add a red dot but still have a rear sight - i'd also need an AR style front sight though. I also found the G36 type scope/picatinny mounts, but they are in the airsoft variety.. I'd use it if I knew it was not plastic.
