Can someone explain to me why a gun like this doesn't exist?

Essentially a Glock (as per this example), with a long barrel (18 inches say), a stock, and a charging handle similar to a Ruger 10/22 on the side.

Thus removing the massive weight of the bolt head and bolt, and instead using what Glock already has to fire a round.

Also, if you own a Kel-tec Sub2k then you know how much force is needed to bring back the operating handle in order to compress the recoil spring. If you use the mechanism a Glock pistol has and just extend a handle off the slide, surely that would work fine and would be significantly more ergonomic, and weigh significantly less.

Problem?

This should be interesting

So every time you fire a round the entire action ( including the stock) slides back to chamber the next round? Pretty hard to shoulder that firearm.

... it's a solution without a problem.

HK makes fine semi-auto carbines, if you like central European manufacturing.

Glock makes fine semi-auto pistols.

If you like the idea of a Glock and a a shoulder brace, Roni (?) makes a great kit that you can plug your Glock into.
