Best caliber for coyotes

I think the OP should consider the terrain and foliage or lack of it on his property, as a given factor in his choice, and the degree of land he owns.
For example a prairie dweller might need a 22-250 or a 243.
Yet someone on Vancouver Island or PEI might get by just fine with a 17 Fireball or a 22 Hornet.
Everyone's answer could be right for thier own special conditions.
