, my "stock" SU-16 was grouping pretty decently (for the conditions)....
I've only put a few hundred rounds through mine and most of that was dickin' around and sighting in my scope. Was fun being able to let off 10rds at at time rather than having to reload after 5 so the shells fly fast!! I had no FTE's or FTF's so was happy there.
My next time out at the range I want to get serious about testing it's accuracy so will post up what I find.

I had to take mine back to Calgary Shooting Centre yesterday as it was punching out primers. I posted about it a few days ago. They will get in touch with Kel Tec and let me know. I hope they can fix it as I want to beef it up with accessories.
I still want to keep it as my backpack plinker!

Shooting from the back of a pickup, with a low magnification scope, about 1-2" @ 50yrds, and 2-4" @ 100yrds.
I'm sure those groups would shrink quite a bit with a proper rest & ammo. The federals I was shooting looked like ####.
Just arrived at my door a minute ago and quickly unpacked it. Its different, definetly not worth $800 IMO but a semi auto that takes AR15 mags...had to suck it up and put the peanuts down for it. Im keeping the plastic sights on..or till they snap off and then plan on a red dot for coyotes.

Is there a fix for this? I was have the same issue, but i switched to a different ammo brand which stopped that issue. Now the cases seem to be expanding a little bit more then id like.

Not responding to anyone... I took out my SU16 to the range today and between three guys we put another 200 rounds through it. i think my Su16 is now beyond the 'teething' process as we had no jamming issues at all while using two different types of the LAR15 and shooting Remington AE 55gr.
On the bad side, things kept on falling off my rifle all day. First the stock iron sights went missing.. they were knocked off during rapid fire. My RDS came loose. And then at the very end of the day when I was folding the rifle to put in my bag (more on that below) the foregrip came right off. I guess after all that shooting the blue locktite melted. So we hammered that gun a lot.
Speaking of my bag, I did what some people have done on the Interweb and folded my rifle into a tennis racquet bag. Fits very well. Got a nice one that usually takes 3-4 racquets and has pockets up the wazoo for mags, ammo, etc. You could fit two SU16s in there if you wanted or an SU16 and another case for your handgun.

Mine arrived today I attached a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5x14x40mm with BDC reticle and added 2 10rd magazines. I'll report back with my range review sometime tomorrow.
update : 100 rounds went off without a hitch. Not a single FTF or FTL to report and no primers were not punched out . It was too cold get serious with sighting in the scope but all in all , i'm very pleased with this little plastic Yote killer. Way to go Kel Tec !!

I got the AR pistol stock for it yesterday and installed it. One thing I have to say about Kel-Tec, their manuals are not written by professionals. Hard to understand, they don't include good drawings. Maybe because I am new to guns but I spend many minutes just rereading the same lines again before - aha! Got it. Sheesh.

Another gripe. The takedown pin really need some work on mine to slam in. With a rubber mallet it goes in, but I've tried a magazine, my hand, I can't get it in.
Second gripe, I knew ahead of time that it doesn't fold in as far as the stock-stock but it is a bit annoying that I have to move my Magpul AFG forward to accomodate it so that I can put the Su16 in my tennis bag. ah well.

That's not the standard rail that comes with it, is it? Nice setup. Needs more Magpul.
Naaaaa it comes with the goofy bipod thingy but I opted for the full floating CASV rail. Satain was the inspiration for that modification. The MagPul is on the way. Rail covers, AFG and a UBR or PRS stock to change up as I see fit.That's not the standard rail that comes with it, is it? Nice setup. Needs more Magpul.

Spiffy! So is the CASV rail specific to the Su-16? You might also want to consider the new Magpul ACS-L or STR, as well.
It's actually the rail off your average AR. I had to do a tiny bit of filing where the support ribs go over the gas tube as it's meant for DI but was very easy to do and took no time. I'm actually going to take the small piece of rail off the frt and back for flush pieces to mount a set of MBUS sites so they don't have to be removed when using the scope.
