Former wrestling and Ultimate Fighting champion Brock Lesnar is facing charges under Alberta's Wildlife Act.

Fish and Wildlife officers confirmed the international celebrity has been charged with three counts in contravention to the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Act.

The charges include improper affixation of tags, spoilage of skin and edible flesh and possession of a controlled animal.

Lesnar, who is 34, and his co-accused, Chad Stryker, were to appear in court in Medicine Hat, Alberta. today, but neither did.

Their case was put over until January 19th.

I think he's gonna get it for the tag but I don't know if they can prove meat spoilage. I think that charge was for the hide. I could pack the meat out in a backpack that size if it was deboned on that hillside. Plus he said "horns", thats all that might have been in that sack, never did see the actual head.

True, plus I doubt all that took 4 minutes. How would they prove what was left there? There could've been more then 1 trip carrying.

That meat would have been quite heavy.

So whats the regs in AB? You have to bring the hide out too? I'm 100% behind all the meat being packed out and understand why you need proof of gender, but I'd be pissed if I had to carry out every hide- especially on some of my backpack hunts.

I usually pack my deer out like that but this year my mule deer was a bit to heavy. I took the meat and hide on the first trip then came back for the rack a couple of days later. I do go to the trouble to keep evidence of ### and a properly attached tag on one of the back quarters. I'm not sure what was done wrong in this video unless there is no properly tagged quarter in the pack. I hope there is no head attached to that rack, if there is I can't see all the meat fitting in there.

I actually quite enjoyed the video itself, no big celebration, very humble hunter and guide, looked like respect for nature and the animal.

Also, he was shooting a measly .338 Federal ;) , no big cannon.

Can't comment on any legal violations based on the video nor do I really care.

He can hunt with me anytime, he makes a better mule than I do.:D
