I got my NP29 from Canada Ammo today. Ordered late on Friday night and it delivered at 1pm today. Monday charged the card, tuesday the transfer was in progress, shipped wednesday, and arrived today.
Came with 2 mags and looked like everyone elses in a bag and covered with oil. I spent the evening breaking it down and cleaning up the oil. Overall I'm very happy with the quality vs. money paid.
Most of the controls started out very gritty but after a good wipedown it was much better.
The sights stand out well but are pretty roughly finished and quite sharp on the edges.
The trigger is shootable as is, but not excellent.
The finish on the gun is much better than I had thought it would be. I really like the machining done to the top of the slide.
The grips are rubber and work well but are nothing special.
The back point of the grip safety and the slide cuts aren't going to slice you open as is without trying, but they could have the edge taken off.
I intend to shoot this gun as is and slowly upgrade it over time. The grips and sights will probably be the first things to change followed by the ambi-safety and extended slide stop. The trigger I'll let break in for a bit and then see what I can do to smooth it out before I look to replace it.
Here's some pictures of mine post initial cleanup.
