I'm looking at buying a CZ 550fs and was wondering what they're like as a shooter. I like the look of the full stock and still am not sure of the caliber either. 243, 6.5x55 or 308 work but leaning towards the 308 as I have a tikka in 6.5 already. It will be used on special occasions for hunting deer and maybe bigger and lots of range time. Thanks. Aaron

I owned a 550 in 6.5x55. It was very accurate with many 3 shot groups under 1/2". Was just a tad heavy for me though, but a quality made rifle. The .308 comes with a magazine instead of drop floorplate.

I have a 550, shoots nice, beauty trigger, its a little on the heavy side though. ( the gun, not the trigger) Alberta would be a better place to lug one around than the coastal rainforest. I would use mine more if i lived somewhere else.

I have a 550 in 270, and it shoots on average a half to three quater inch group. And the trigger is awesome. Its one gun i dont think i would ever sell! Im thinking about buying one in 375H&H or 416 Rigby, not that i need it, i just want one.

Thinking about one. Already own a CZ452 and a CZ527. Easy on the eye and accurate to boot. Makes my Ruger look thick. Waiting for 2 CZ pistols to come in too. Fit and finish are no 1 and are all a delight to shoot. People that own them tend to fondle...If I sold my Ruger I would likely replace it with a 550.

Just received my Standard 550 in 416 Rigby, it is a well made rifle the bolt is smooth and the trigger break awsome, intend to try to make it to the range to try it with the 40 Hornady cart. i bought... Cheers. JP.
