For those that think bolt actions are too slow

Well, there's always this clown . . .

This is part of the way my PH in Africa practices to back up his clients on dangerous game. He told me he puts a box of shells a week through his 458 win mag always at moving bouncing targets being dragged by a truck towards him. We weren't hunting DG so he didn't carry his rifle, but I believed him and would certainly trust him to back me up.

I don't mean to be rude, but was that supposed to be impressive?

 Shooting a bit left maybe ....Wow the Deer around here arn,t like that at all , I cant believe it just stood there

So wait...the OP's video deserves Internet high fives, and "wow great shooting" but a 700 yard elk kill is unethical? Holy phuck this forum is interesting.

It's interesting that such a pro is using a red dot with no magnification which has a 2 MOA dot.

I have used red dots like this a fair bit, and find them very fast to get on your target..Very good for short range moving targets like this fella is shooting...Where I don't like these is on very sunny,or in low light conditionds. This is where I prefer a low powered scope with heavy duplex...

Not even in the same ballpark. That young German can certainly shoot.

That video was some warm up to my 2006 Tanzanian hunt, where I made the best shot on game that I've ever managed. A warthog ran quartering to my right, and I dumped him with a single shot from a M-70 .375 H&H fired from the port side. The PH looked at my and asked, "Did you just shoot left handed??!!" It was as much an exclamation as it was a question. I also heard him mutter "Nice bolt work!" when we watched the video of me working on my buff. While I never thought much about it, strangely enough many hunting clients don't seem to know much about shooting.

No matter what we all think of others shooting abilities, whether at stationary or moving targets.
It all comes down to practice; I’ve seen shooters that can’t hit a pie plate at 100 yards off hand with no pressure on them at all. Most people think they can until they try it!!

Good shooting Camp Cook!!
