NEA fanboys/issues

None to the US. Only thing the US hates more than letting their AR's out is letting them in. The US is a large market but it's a closed one.

We have discussed selling internatinally only solely because of the utter PITA dealing in Canada is, but in the end there's nothing more we want to see is people at home enjoying our wares. Problem is that those that have them are enjoying them while the rest of the pack is busy #####ing and complaining.

After all, you don't want or dislike, shut up and move on. If you like to own one, get one and start to ##### if it causes problems. For god sake, it is f@#$ing ridiculous as many trashing this item, let's start thread for every AR 15 here and go on to another topics. Stop being kids.
 
Perspective is a funny thing. While the OP was starting this thread, I was thinking the opposite and wondering why a few have such a hard-on for NEA?

Call me a fanboy, a fool, a gambler, whatever. I just can't say this loud enough:CANADIAN MADE AR $1000.00. I don't want to repeat what has already been said but seriously, look at how NEA has stood behind their products...honestly, how can I go wrong buying one?

If I was the head honcho at NEA, I would have thrown my hands up at all of this drama weeks ago. The product will speak for itself.

5 years from now I look forward to being counted among those that stood by this Canadian company, put my money where my mouth was, and suffered a few hiccups along the way. I suspect the OP will be one of the ones that say they held NEA to task early on and contributed to their success in that way.
 
I don't buy nea products based on their behavior on these forums, and I know of some retailers who share my same view. Defend your products all you want (which you should) but resulting to swearing and behaving like a pissed off teenager is unprofessional and makes NEA as a company look like its run by a bunch of amateurs.

Many other dealers on these forums have resolved issues without resorting to NEAs tactics of name calling and and general unprofessional behavior.

NEA has done nothing wrong, yet they are being carved pretty good by some posters. Ones who don't even own an NEA it seems.

Why do they care? Most likely they've bought higher priced rifles and need to justify it by knocking the other options.

It would be like me running into every non-Norinco thread an slamming posters for paying $1000+ for range only guns. What business is it of mine how people spend their money?

Just like if NEA owners are happy with the solutions the company has come up with why would I carve NEA?



See, here's an example. I have a Norc and agree with Claven2. They function well, but are after all $700 guns. However according to the flavour around here I should defend Norcs at all costs, call Claven2 out, and then slag whatever make he uses.

I'm going to try and simplify this as easy as I can and try and make it clear why I made this thread.


Recently, I was in the market for an AR, I was told "Get the NEA, it's great, they're wicked, canadian made, cheap etc."

Nobody told me they had first-batch issues.

I did some snooping around on the forums and found users were having cycling issues, didn't like the colour, etc. so I went with with rock river arms.

Then yesterday I see a thread where a guy is asking about NEA, someone pipes up "be careful they are seeing a lot of problems with these on the forums."

And basically a #### ton of NEA fan boys jumped down his throat saying.

"EVERYWUN HAS FIRST BATCH ISSUEZ!11"

"THEY HAS THE BEST CUSTOMUR SERVUS!"

which has -NOTHING- to do with the fact that the original statement was correct, they are having a lot of issues.

If we believe NEA's own figures (see no reason not to), they have had to warranty 18 out of the first 1000 guns.

That's isn't an unusual amount for a first production run in my personal opinion.

Just saying'...

That is a good point.
 
I am really glad that an all Canadian company is making AR's. I would rather support them than an American or Chinese company. Seems to me like the guys at NEA are pretty receptive to customers problems and do what they can to correct them. They will no doubt work out their QC issues.
 
They have handled things well. I just do not want to have problems though and the hassle. I handled one at SFRC and looked pretty decent for the price point. I hate the pinch of the rail, think it looks like ####. For the price I think I will buy one down the road once the QC issues are fixed. Im kinda surprized some of the stuff that got out though.

There are a few Canadian companies manufacturing AR as well as other guns.
The only way a Canadian company can continue to survive is with Canadians supporting them. Too often people will ignore local talent in favor of a well known foreign name. This despite the fact that sometimes homegrown is actually better.

That was the original rail system with the longer clamp not the new one. That was my own gun that I built when they first came out and I haven't switched them out yet.
 
Guys.. These concerns have already been addressed. Several batches have been released since with zero issues. While you may have to wait for your order to arrive, you don't have to wait for the QC to improve. It's already been done.
