CZ SP01 Shadow Rear Sight Drift

Based on first hand experience can anybody please give me some advice on how to drift the rear sight on a CZ Shadow. I removed the set screw entirely and pounded the crap out of it with a brass punch, but it didn't budge. Should I lock it down in a vise really tight, wind up, and pound it as if I'm trying to break out of a jail. Or is there some kind of trick to "break" it free.

OP is welcome to call and then stop by 'local gunsmith' to get the fix; usually $80...

Bruce - get proper 'sight mover' if you do the job a couple of times a year or so.

FYI:

CZ has 'dove cut' in slide tapered where rear sight is supposed to be installed from right to left and removed from left to right. They use glue to secure rear sight in place in addition to set screw/s. Shadows dated 2009 and on have ONE screw, older ones - 2008 and older - have TWO screws.
Shadows made in 2009-on have issues with rear sight, where it moves during regular gun use.
Best way to remove/install/adjust 'non-adjustable' rear sight on CZ is by using sight pusher.

There's glue in addition to the set screw? You would think they would mention that in the manual somewhere. Any idea how to remove the glue?

I did it by holding the slide in a vise (padded with leather) and beat the hell out of it with a brass drift and big hammer. Carefully, of course not to damage the finish.
So far that seems OK, but if it starts to drift on its own, I'll use some thread locker to secure it.

I have to correct myself - sight should be removed from right to left and installed in opposite direction (with front sight being away from you).
