That's my new plan.

It's better than my old plan, which was to have Bear Grylls come over to piss in my CZ. And it shouldn't take as long to mutate a CZ into an AK than if you start with a SKS.

I see some of us are guilty playing "Fallout 3" and "Fallout: New Vegas" games.
if SHTF, is all about survival, you'll scavenge whatever you can and use it to your best of abilities.

On serious note. In the deserts like Afghanistan hot as hell; the Afghani fighters used motor oil and shoelace to clean their rifles' barrel once in a while.

Considering the reputation of red rifles is their robustness and low maintenance, ideal for SHTF situations.
 
You know that lil plastic bottle every SKS cleaning kit comes with?

Ya... Fill er up with some non-irradiated weasel piss of your choice... I prefer CLP.

Oil holds the rust gremlins at bay way better then anything water based.

Cept at the end of the movie when you get to see his eyes up close. They're solid white like salt.

It's also why he moves into the dark to fight.

The gun wouldn't stop a radioactive/ebola mutated bear, empty every corrosive round you have into that monster and it will eat you anyway...

...Well, at least you won't have to worry about that "how to clean the barrel" conundrum!;)

They didnt play him off as a blind man very well then, since he can instantly find small objects and manipulate them like a seeing person.
-notice that hes walking next to a car on the highway..see theres a body in it, and then go check it for shoes..
-aim at a cat and then walk over and pick it up, again instantly, no feeling around..
-walk through a forest
-pick out the shop he needs in the town
-notice the cinema/bar across the road
-see sentries ontop of the buildings
-watches the biker kill the travellers and then easily identifies him in the bar
-everything else he does in the movie...


and if hes blind then how is the dark going to help him, or how will he differentiate between the two ?
So far as im concerned he backs up under the overpass because the combat looks badass all in silhouettes.. seems like a douchebag director move

regardless, if they meant for him to be blind, then they did the worst job ever.
as there are only 1-3 things that could promote him being blind, and the rest of the movie says otherwise.
