I ordered a new 7mm Rem Mag for a Caribou hunt this year and possibly a Pronghorn/Prairie Deer hunt in the next 2 to 3 years. The only scope above a 3x9 that I have is a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x 40mm with mil-dot reticle, front parallax adjustment and target turrets. I haven't played at all with the target turret and would rather sight it in dead on at 200yd and confirm/practice at 300, 400 and 500yd without having to play with the target turret. Having said that, I'm really paranoid having those target turrets on a hunting scope, i'm scared somehow adjustment could be moved unintentionaly. Should / can I get regular turret? can you tape turret with electrical tape so it wont move or should I just get another scope?
