Bear in mind that the rapid-z reticles were designed with certain caliber classes, and most importantly bullet speeds, in mind.
The z 1000 was engineered specifically for the .308 Win, for bullets with an fps of 2500 to 2900ish. As the typical 25-06 cartridge has an fps over 3000 (some over 3500), the z-1000 will not fit properly - when attempting to calibrate the reticle with the rapid-z calculator, you will find that no scope has enough magnification to optimize the reticle for a 25-06 load.
The best fit for a 25-06 would be the rapid-z varmint, which was designed for faster, lighter grain bullets. The rapid-z 800 could also fit, for the slower 25-06 loads (i.e. less than 3300 fps).
That being said, while the z-1000 is not the optimal reticle for the 25-06, it can be made to partially fit; bullet choice would be critical here and a slower, heavier load would have to be selected (i.e. such as a Winchester 115gr silver ballistic tip, which floats at just over 3000 fps) over some of the lighter, flatter shooting loads.
